I've become a member. Using a new computer my large touch screen did not yet arrive. So I used a small 15 inch screen while the rack computer was not yet fitted into my studio. The first thing I noticed. Platinum is totally customizable with it's screen lay out. And I can use severall screens using the number buttons on my QUERTY keyboard. I allso used the X3 demo song to test the performance of my multi core machine. I never felt so much power utilized so brilliantly. I could allso freeze all tracks so I could free all utilized resources towards new tracks.
Thanks Cakewalk for allowing me to become a member so fast. This will make my next record a breeze....!!
Coming from Cakewalk 7 (wich simply worked). X2 was totally great with it's channelstrip, eliminating my search for "the next plug-in". And now the new Cakewalk Platinum has all those new features: it adjusts to what ever screen I have and give me awesome ways to group tracks. It has the awesomest looping experience ever.... I looped. It recorded my bass track. Now I recorded 5 similar bass tracks. But the last was the awesomest. But had three mistakes in it. I could edit this using my three earlier recorded tracks. So within 5 minutes of editing, what was in my head was now playing from my speakers..... And what was playing was teaching me to play it flawless.... (wich is kinda.... funny and weird.... )... Cakewalk staff you delivered!!! Now I'm back to testing and ....... making me want that touch screen even more.....!!
