Yep, the CAL recorder was removed when SONAR was "born". SONAR 1 and 2 provided the StudioWare editor. But then that was removed too. It would be nice to have those features back. They were both very powerful. Scott -- Scott R. Garrigus - Author of the Cakewalk Sonar and Sony Sound Forge Power book series. Get Sonar X1 Power - Today! UnderTow Susan G Hi Keni- CAL could do this but it's no longer available in Sonar (they can still run but no way to write them within Sonar)... They're just text files with a .cal extension. You can create/edit them in Notepad or any text editor. I don't recall there ever being a CAL-specific editor supplied by CW. -Susan There used to be a CAL recorder. Press record, do some actions you want in a CAL macro and then press stop. Instant CAL script. UnderTow Right, but you can still create or edit an existing one with a text editor, so it's not strictly true that there's "no way". That's all I was saying... -Susan

Yup... that's all true... Once there was a recorder, but no more... History as is Studioware... another very helpful function that disappeared instead of improving... So I'm sure you can see that a basic macro recorder/player with a save/recall function... Sweet! Cal files are basically the same, but as Susan mentioned, they're text files so they enable the ability to include dialog... Keni

OK, dowloaded. Love it - but spent most of day mixing and not playing with it although I did use it while mixing. Looking forward to getting it all figured out though. Well Done-Thanks ;)

Awesome! One stop solution to most of my problems with x1: snap to grid, multidock, keyboard commands. I like that you have loop buttons on there. Now I can get rid of that ridiculously big loop module and free up some space.

In my opinion, the functions Sonar Plus should be taken into account by Cakewalk. Because if this can not be implemented originally for Sonar X1?
