Kev999 Where did you get this? There didn't seem to be a Kindle version available when I checked. Hey Kev... unfortunately, the Kindle edition isn't available outside the USA yet. I keep checking with the publisher on a regular basis, but I don't have a timeframe for when it will become available. In the meantime, however, all the other eBook formats are available both in the USA and Internationally... Nook, iBook, ePub, PDF. I believe you should be able to get the ePub or PDF version and load that on to the Kindle. Thanks! Scott -- Scott R. Kev999 - The PDF can be read on the Kindle, not ePub as far as I know. There is a free utility called Calibre http://calibre-ebook.com/ that can convert between all common formats BUT it won't convert a copy-protected ePub. If you use the PDF version, I find it easier to use the Kindle app on the Fire rather than Adobe's PDF viewer. My wife is using this with a huge PDF textbook without issues, so this book should work fine. Hope this helps, Dave

Check out one of the many awesome gifts my lady got me for the b-day yesterday... Can't wait to dive into it! (Sorry, the crashing waves had me in the aquatic mindset.) Already read a couple interesting tidbits just flipping through it yesterday. Think I'll start reading some before bed tonight, and have sweet dreams of automation lanes and slip editing OH, and I will be sure to write a review as soon as I've finished giving it a thorough study! PS: It IS a hefty book, but in a good way! I can already tell what a wealth of valuable info this thing is going to be.

OK. I bit... er, bought! I got the Kindle edition. It is the most expensive book I have bought for the Kindle but I am sure it will be worth every cent. I do have two questions and I apologize if this one has been asked and answered.... but: 1 > does it stand alone or do I need to use X1 Power with it? Having it on Kindle is really nice. I will also put it on my computer on the Kindle app. 2 > Have you considered making your books in a folder or notebook format. I mean like a three ring binder sort of book. Then errata could be inserted where needed as a whole replacement page and more important, it would lay flat with no problem and without the middle of the pages humped up. I know your books do lay without trying to close but I've always though a three ring version would be really nice. I don't know but I think it might be more expensive that way unless we were to provide our own binder. Then you could just ship the pages and a cover sheet to insert the binder. Heck, you might even make more money that way because you should be able to make copies yurself and sell direct... along with selling the regular pubished books, unless of course the publisher would object to something like this. Anyway, just a question/thought. Thanks for ALL you do... and you do a LOT for us. I think most of us are aware of that. You and Karl are a real boon to us mortals. I'd like to see the two of you get together and do a "webinar". I bet it would be awesome. J

I contacted Amazon again today about the availability of the Kindle version of this book. Their reply was as follows: I'm very sorry about the incorrect information you received. I've checked our website and verified that the book, "SONAR X2 Power!" isn't currently available for Kindle. Currently, it is only available in Paperback edition. So it is not available for any region.

I mean like a three ring binder sort of book. Hey Julien... thanks very much! I hope you enjoy the book. The book stands alone... you don't need any other edition. Each edition is independent. It has to be this way because there are always new people picking up Cakewalk and not just upgraders. And yeah, the notebook format idea has been brought up in the past, but it's not a feasible format because of cost and for the purposes of marketing. If you walk into a bookstore, I doubt you'll find any books in that format. It's definitely a nice idea, but it can't be done. Regarding the cost... yeah, both the print and eBook editions contain the same exact content and you're actually paying for the content, not the format. So while the eBook costs a little less, it's not by much. Thanks again! And, only if you have time, after you get a chance to look through the book, would it be possible for you to post a review up on Amazon and in the Cakewalk Store? Scott -- Scott R. So it is not available for any region. Hey Kev... not sure why they said "any region" because that's not true. The Kindle edition is available to readers who reside in the USA. See jbow's message above... he just purchased it. Also, I'm looking at the Kindle page right now and it's definitely available for purchase. The reason you can't see the purchase availability is because the Amazon.com site knows that you reside outside the USA. It knows this either by your address or your internet IP address (or both). So the Kindle edition is available in the USA but all other editions are available worldwide. You could get the PDF and load that on to the Kindle, I believe. All the editions contain the same exact content. I'm really sorry for this inconvenience. The publisher is negotiating an International distribution deal for their entire catalog (not just my book) with Amazon. And unfortunately, I have no control over this and I don't know when it will be completed. Thanks! Scott -- Scott R.
