Okay... now I don't see the icon that let's you know you commented in a thread. I think it got bumped by the "Hot" thingy. Sorry. Too confusing. I didn't mind the old forum. Oh well. Hopefully it reduces the amount of spam but my luddite eyes and brain ain't diggin' this.

There's always gotta be a whiner, eh? ;-p

Yeah the mobile version is easier to read but harder to use. Kept throwing a bunch of screens with buttons at me. There's gotta be an option for a flat text/basic hyperlink version. I just ain't seeing one.

I already miss the marker that showed that the posts I responded too. Will make it difficult to follow-up.

The mobile format is still too large, but it separates the posts a little better. It's not as pretty, but still functional.

I agree, it's definitely not as pretty and I would love to be able to have a selection of fonts and sizes.
I found the old text against the bluish background easier to read.

Yeah, I got it on Flat Reading. The other option seems to be some kind of thread tree. Ugh. I hope the ASP folks can provide something a little simpler. We used to have the Robocake, Blue, etc options to select from. Was kind of hoping for a "Not Crazy New Fangled Anti Confuse the Old Folks" option. :-/

Looks good so far, but I have noticed one problem - clicking on some of the threads takes me to the main forum page (e.g., Mooch's "Thoughts on the Shure SM7" thread a little ways down the page).  Anybody else experiencing this?

This happens to me as well!

Hmm... Doesn't seem to be giving the "edit" message when people change their posts. That helped eliminate some confusion. I don't see sigs either... except for Scott's for some reason. Weird.

Edit: Use Full Version to see sigs.

I don't see your sig either, Karl and I'm on default. That won't be good for sales, bro. Might want to create a copy/pasta to add to your posts manually. I can only assume that's why I can see Scott's links.

Edit: Use Full Version to see sigs... and apparently to see edits as well. lol Stupid computers thing they're smarter than me!

Sigs visible here. I think Scott uses a sig in his post rather than the sig feature. Are you in "Full" mode as opposed to Essentials?

That's what I'd expect. I will say I prefer how quoted texts appear in the old forum's Quick Reply box and I'd like to see the line-spacing be reduced by 3 px, but I think this new forum echoes many other modern deployments. You wouldn't rather go back to not have browser compatibility though. Surely, nobody would. I'm fine with the new one!

To see post counts and other stuff click Full at the top of the thread where it says Essentials and Full. Also if you want to see quoted comments linked to each other go to your profile, select Features and click the option that says "Tree". At least I think that's what that does. I've always preferred to read comments linearly though as opposed to threaded like that.

Edit: The "Tree" option does not work the way I thought it did. Sorry.

Looks good!

I actually appreciate the ability to turn off some of the extraneous stats, although the pages do seem to stay the same size as when the stats are turned on.

Still, definitely an improvement, and like anything new will take a bit of getting used to!
Of course, there will be complainers no matter what the Cakewalk folks do to try accommodate everyone!!

On most forums you click in the quote and it takes you back to the original post which was quoted - this allows you to see the quote in context when only part of a post is quoted
