Has anyone noticed that it looks crisper and easier to read? The drop shadows are a nice touch.

I really could learn to like this new forum.

Well Done!

What is the "permalink" for?

What is that "path:" for at the bottom of the text box to post? It has a "p" in it

OK, unless someone beat me to it, I get a couple of points for this one! The path at the bottom of the editor for creating a post shows the HTML tag you are inside of when typing. Try this:
  • Enter some text in the create post box. The path will read p because by default you are inside a paragraph (<p>) tag.
  • Switch to HTML view and enter this: <div>Test</div>
  • Exit HTML view and click on the word Test that you just entered. The path will read div.
BTW, to see the HTML button you must be in the Full View of the editor.

Alright, I don't get any points. I'm a programmer by trade.

Has nobody complained they prefer the "Classic" look yet?

I didn't like the move from the old usenet newsgroup to the forum and I don't like this change and update to the forum. :-)

I'm disoriented!

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

I am noticing a small problem. If I click on this thread to goto the last post by clicking the hot spot by the posters name it only goes to the 4th page. I think it could be because of the major graphic on that page.

Best

Argh, the font size is way too big for my liking.  Is there any way to select a smaller font size, at least for the forum pages, if not for the thread pages?

The forum page display has gone from roughly 30 message headers on screen down to only 10 - less info visible, and more keyboarding/mousing to see the rest.  I'd prefer an option to have a more compact display.

Now I for one prefer the bigger fontage - it's lot easier on my poor old peepers.

And at last, a return to the quotes-in-boxes system we used to have.

Now if they could only add back the "In reply to:" in posts.

Wow....  this was a shock.    Hard to say whether I prefer it this early on, but it certainly shows that CW wasn't ignoring anyone and that they are certainly making the effort.    It does look pretty though...
