Impressive that Cakewalk are listening to something after all. Yet to see how new forum software compares. But it does look nice..

Not nearly as compact as I'd like, but it's an effort. The menu bar is a bit awkward, but then as with any menu-driven app, it's not always mouse-friendly. Well, let's see how this one holds up.
Brian Sonar Platinum, Steinberg Wavelab Pro 9, MOTU 24CoreIO w/ low-slew OP-AMP mods and BLA external clock, True P8, Audient ASP008, API 512c, Chandler Germ500, Summit 2ba-221, GAP Pre-73, Peluso 22251, Peluso 2247LE, Mackie HR824, Polk Audio SRS-SDA 2.3tl w/upgraded Soniccraft crossovers and Goertz cables, powered by Pass-X350. All wiring Star-Quad XLR or Monster Cable. Power by Monster Power Signature AVS2000 voltage stabilizer and Signature Pro Power 5100 PowerCenter on a 20A isolation shielded circuit.

Oh my God you actually have to click through to people's profiles to see their post counts. That's gonna sting people who wear their post counts like a medal Also I don't think I like the small avatars. Kind of liked seeing people's profile pics without straining. Oh well....huge improvement otherwise.

Although I have to ask...how am I supposed to see at a glance which threads I've participated in? There is no icon indication. That's a drag, I hope you can fix it.

You mean on the mobile version right? I can see posts counts on the full version. There will be things that need to become more compact to fit a mobile device :)

It's def more modern-looking. Found a weird thing where the smileys box doesn't close in Opera. You have to scroll up and down the page to access the (x) to close it.

Oh right....no I'm on the default theme, but I did not yet notice that you can click "full version" at the top. Perhaps the full version should be the default setting?

Click "full version" at the top of the posts.....the problem is it's set to "essentials only" by default, and that will show the mini avatars.

I'll tell you one thing that I already love about the new forum is that I just edited a post about a minute after submitting it, and I didn't get the ginormous message screaming "THIS POST WAS EDITED...."! That really annoyed me about the old forum.

@GIM... I see them. They're to the right of the the thread title as always. They just look all small and lonely now. Still looking for a way to get a simpler view. This is gonna take some getting used to. BTW guys... they seem to have done an overhaul on the TOS so give 'er a read. Lots of seemingly harmless stuff that could technically get you banned. I doubt they'll be too heavy handed but I see a few things that might put some regulars at risk.
