I really want to pick a winner, but my patronage seems to do more harm than good. For Hollies sake, I'd better not give her my endorsement.

OK.... they are all pretty decent at this stage..... but I'm thinking it will be Holly or Phillip going home tomorrow. I was relegated to the TV in the kitchen.... the one under the counter. I broke open one of my home brews and settled in to watch the show. I was late in getting there so my interest level was already lower than normal. Then I realized that it was about time to start a new batch of beer brewing so while trying to watch the singers, I was busy sanitizing the keg and mixing the ingredients..... by then the TV in the den was available and got to see the second hour in the den. Jessica and Jason blew the place away..... especially Jason's take on the James Brown song It's a Man's World....... wow,,, that was better than Brother James sang it. Yeah... that's my take on it.... we'll see tomorrow night if I get it right or not. Still calling the title for Jason with Jess in second place.

Jason is Guitarhacker speak for Joshua. I spent time with my Mom tonight and got to see my first AI since the American Mydol days. I've got Holly going tomorrow with Phillip next then a tight finish with Joshua coming out as the overall winner (and I do mean tight!). If Jessican had a couple more years on her, I'd say she's the choice. I see Holly doing just fine somewhere (but no idea where), Phillip fronting his own band while having a blast and becoming very successful. It's too early to tell, but I think Jessica would be killer as a Sade/Lounge-type singer (though she obviously has broader potential). And Joshua? Believe it or not, I can easily see him in movies as well as singing. The man can flat out bring it to any performance. I'd pay right now to have the original song that Phillip played tonight and for an album of anything done by Joshua.
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

Whats AI? Seriously, is it a new awards show like the Grammy's but for newer artist? Maybe for rap or club type stuff? Ps. I'm actually serious here. I've never heard of AI. I didn't read all the posts but I see it's not in England. Is it a European thing or does America have it too? I don't watch any awards shows, I'm just not into them and don't really care who wins what award (unless they're sending me $$ of course) Mike

Back on topic. I'll give that Jessica gave a good performance in the second half. I just don't (personally) like her choice of "old" songs because she is young. Others probably like it. My favorite (girl) is Hollie but she did herself no favors with the Bonnie Rait song. Kinda sad. I kind of think Phillip will go home. Although his second song was great he just seems worn/burned out. I still think Joshua will take the season.

AHHH, ok I heard of that. Watched about a minute and a half of season one. Have no idea whats happened since.. Saw kelly Clarckson perform once at a NASCAR event. God I hope it was just a bad night for her . Maybe the auto tune and auto time broke at the same time. I was really embarrassed for her. Actually saw her do something on TV one night and the same equipment must have busted again........ Come to think of it, maybe it's not the equipment at all. Hard to tell with all the huffing, puffing and wheezing she was doing while trying to move and sing. And she's the best to come out of that show. No thanks, think I'd rather varnish my clogs that night. Mike

chefmike8888 And she's the best to come out of that show. Carrie Underwood came out of that show. As country singers go, she's not bad. My favorite "winner" of the show was Taylor Hicks (2006*). Sadly he went nowhere. *Footnote: during the audition shows I told the Lovely Lady he was going to win that season. Simples.

Wow... If you think Jessica and Joshua stink then I can't even imagine what you consider good! Neither posses any marketability...................I understand that is yet to be known............ And actually Josua......YES I Fixed IT.........IMO.......yep he stinks................... his range is there....and.....his tone is borderline painful....... Now I will admit I'm a reality show and competition show hater.............and that influences my perspective......Idol being the most annoying of the big 3.............Idol,The Voice and "X"Factor But I would take Melany Amoro and about 1/2 of The Voices entire field over anyone on Idol the past few seasons.....for sure. Likely its "The Voices"presentation that makes me biased........ I'd rather watch Blake Shelton or Adam Levine shovel coal than watch Idol.....it is that lame. Really......... I can't believe I got into this thread I guess I'm just Fracking ****ed.............. Anyways yeah they suck and......IMO..... Idol really sucks............... And I won' post in this thread again...................so the love can return
