I would settle for just being able to route the output from one virtual instrument track to an audio track to record it's outout. So, are we finally gonna get this feature?
Can't you just bounce the track? Or am I missing something?

Yes. I'm talking about recording(to a destination audio track) parameter changes to vst's(from it's separate source track), on the fly! That's different than bouncing down the (static)midi data of a virtual synth track to audio. It was discussed here.

Nothing wrong with having some nice outboard gear that some of you have to go along with your ProChannel.

You can give 'em to me if you won't use them anymore :-P

Wait a second...I can use both!?!?!?
Uh...Jose?  There's going to be a couple packages arriving in the mail soon.  *Ahem*...Uh..any chance you could send them back?

Curse you Rally to Restore Sanity!!  I thought my attendance was going to fix this sort of thing....

No, they're mine!!!! Muahahaha!! :-D

By the way, Razor, how are you liking the Focal monitors?  I'm looking into buying a pair of either the new Adam A7X or Focal CMS65.  Are you familiar with these last two?  The ones you have are out of my range :-(

Sorry for the OT everyone.

Hi Jose,
Haven't tried the Adam's but I like my Focals a ton.  Haven't heard the CMS series but the Solo 6's are open, detailed, and (along with some changes to the monitor position) have been a real asset in getting consistant portable mixes.  Some folks say the tweeters are a bit harsh but I've not found then to be that at all.

Short answer: Monitors are really personal, so if possible demo before you buy, but I love mine.  Way better to my ears than my old Tannoys or the JBL 6328's that I tried out.

Good luck, and apologies for the thread hijack.

Thanks a lot Razor.

I think I'll take you advice and demo them.  Hopefully I'll be able to.

Take care!

Any word about being able to pre-order X1 before 12/8?

How much will Sonar X1 cost a first-time user?  I think I'm just about to convince a fellow bandmate to go with Sonar.......

That's nice.

If I remember right, Sonar used to cost about $599 for first-time buyers?

Are the full-res press images posted anywhere? I couldn't find them in the usual places, and I'd love to have them for drooling/bragging purposes (since I'm a pathetic little fanboy who will upgrade at the stroke of midnight of December 8th).

On the product pages you will see an image on a black background. can click on the image, scroll it make it full screen, and zoom in and around the UI.

Not my most helpful post so I will try again. If you go to the product page http://www.cakewalk.com/P...SONAR/X1-Producer.aspx scroll down to the Skylight section. You will see an image, on the lower right hand corner there is an option to make the image full screen. There are also other controls to zoom in and around the image.

There are quite a few images on this first look from Create Digital Music.

I really don't like the new look.  Are there options to customize the User Interface........without having to res hack a .dll?

Anyone know if something like "Countdown to Playback" has been added?

I love the new GUI, but I will change the color scheme though.  Hope it is still as flexible to change (or more) than before.

I am surprised everyone missed the 64-bit REX file support.

Robin just so you know - definitely did not miss this feature.  I look forward to this.  I assume this will now mean relatively effortless integration of say, Beatscape into projects for 64-bitters?

While Sonar was borrowing things from Reaper they really should have borrowed this really useful feature as well.................
