As long as it works and they continue to keep or improve the stability to make sure it maintains its functionality and remains compatible with other software then I am happy and would love it by any name. Snap Krackle and Pop might not be a good choice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHppmhyNx8M

On that note (see, I'm musical; I worked in the word "note"), I nominate "DAWsome" (variation of "awesome" for those who need to know). The subsequent versions could be dubbed according to natural followers of the "some" suffix: DAWsome One (D'uh), DAWsome WAY, DAWsome HOW, DAWsome WHERE, DAWsome BODY (to Love), DAWsome DAY, DAWsome TIME, etc., etc., ad infinitum or likely ad nauseum. The presentation of the version name could be altered, e.g.: "DAW SomeONE", "DAW SomeWAY", etc. What? I was trying to contribute!

Since it is a Rebirth after a death... like the Phoenix bird I think the name "Cakewalk - Phoenix" would be lovely I vote for it

Re-badging something can be surprisingly effective. Recently I noticed that my vacuum cleaner wasn't really picking up like it used to. I'd cleaned all the filters, checked for blockages etc, but it still wasn't really doing the job any more. Someone suggested simply rebadging it, to which my response was naturally sceptical, but having nothing to lose I peeled off the manufacturers logo and replaced it with an Arsenal FC badge. Now it really sucks. Amazing.

i don't think there will be any "harking back" to "cakewalk sonar", whether in name or whatever, i suspect we'll be surprised and i suspect they already have a name, maybe even from before they bought the cakewalk ip ("when we launch our daw we'll call it x")

I'm quite sure that BandLab's lawyers and designers have already come up with their new name for this and the related assets... Based on their other names, where everything refers only to BandLab itself, not with individual product names, I'd imagine that they will be going with something like: BandLab Studio

they're busy establishing the bandlab brand, so that makes sense (i don't know about anyone else, but their purchase of the cakewalk stuff was the first time i'd heard of them)

If the desire is to have the product's name consistently at the top of a google search list, the one sure-fire way to do it is to invent a name. As some of y'all have tried doing so far. I don't like any of them though. Inventing words is not an easy task.
