I had two VST programs that wouldn't work with X3. My Ivory II program and my East West Symphonic Orchestra program. I found that I had to manually insert the programs into the Cakewalk's VST directory folder before the VST search engine could find them. Once I did that they both worked fine. They are both still working fine too !!

By the way, no monkeys were harmed (or mentioned) in the totally X3d production in OP link.

Wait a second here. Fun is a good thing but I have to draw the line at editing some else's post. It becomes a misquote. Even if it may seem funny its wrong. No one has the right to edit another's post. It is a very bad precedent.

Please remind yourself that this is a forum for helping fellow Sonar users. We try to be dead accurate in what we write.  And what we write belongs to the one that wrote it and CW. It is not to be rewritten and used by others for any purpose. This is simple common courtesy.

Maybe you did not try very hard to be "accurate" in what you wrote in your first post? Since what you cited was "exactly" NOT what was happening.

Maybe an apology to the users of this forum for being inaccurate is in order, John?

Bapu that is irrelevant. However I don't view it that way at all. The OP has a link to another link. That was what I was referring to. At least that is what I found at the time I posted.

What is relevant is tampering with another's post. It really doesn't matter what that post is about or how it is written. It is wrong to misquote another.

OK, John it's about accuracy when it affects (only) you but not anyone else.

That must be a TOS violation, right?

What question it begs to me is why you saw fit to "call out" the OP which was nothing more than an innocent link to a Songs Forum post.

What is the problem Bapu? It is not my accuracy I am concerned about. Clearly I can defend myself. What I am concerned about is this forum and keeping posting here free of tampering.  You may not have been here when we had trolls stalking people here me included. It was like a war going and it only stopped when those responsible were banned. One fellow went as far as trying to pretend to be me.

Tampering with posts is wrong. If it is not stopped whenever it happens then no one is secure in the integrity of their postings. I think its an important point. It is also in violation of the TOS.

In summary....

Someone signed in as someone else to post yet another tiresome plug to something in the songs forum, someone else objected to it, then the person who was pretending to be someone else jumped to the defence of the person that person was pretending to be. When it got a bit antsy, one of his mates jumped in and said something inane for reasons best known to himself. Meanwhile, the OP continues to be referred to in the third person by the person pretending not to be the OP. HTH
