And John,

Can you prove the accuracy of your statement that I "lurk around here", and especially "finding fault with me in particular when ever he sees an opening."? Maybe you don't like the comments I have for you, and I'm okay with that.

I am a forum member and a SONAR user just like you. I read the posts here (and Songs, and Techniques, and Software, and Hardware oh and The CH too). I comment on what strikes me. I am not a lurker. To make such claims is unacceptable to me.

And for anyone else reading this. I am NOT now or ever have been or ever will be at war or feuding with John. That would be a waste of my time.

May I ask why you are posting this when it seems to go to another dimension?

did you consider using vsts?

So this was not a deliberate misquote?

"Oh John, now who's misquoting?

I couldn't care less who likes or dislikes clicking on link in a post of mine, but it "seemed" to you that it was a {paraphrased} redundant {/paraphrased} link, which I pointed out it was NOT."

Are you saying that you are the person behind the OP?

Re: Speaking of VSTs not working.... 2014/02/18 17:56:49 (permalink)
John,

Here is the long answer.

I am not "behind" anything.

I am a member of the following bands who post songs:
The Coffee House Band
The Forum Monkeys
The Coffee House Collaborators
Straumpu & The Coffee House Choir

These are all bands comprised of various forum members who met and bonded in the Coffee House. I have personally met (face to face) with more than half of them and plan to do so with as many as I can in the future.

These logins are used to promote songs here in the Cakewalk peer forums. The Cakewalk mods are well aware that these logins exist for the sole purpose of song promotion.

As well, when I do a project that is not part of those other bands I post the "promotion" under my user ID (Bapu).

And now.......

Here's the short answer.

Yes, I posted the OP.

Wow, no wonder I rarely post up here.  Lots of people in overly tight underwear I suspect.

It's a great parody song written by people who have been very helpful to many here.  In fact, the very software this forum is about was used (proof it works just fine).  Life's short enough as it is, it needs more humor and more songs with a lot less seriousness, tension and whining.  Maybe going commando for a bit while playing the instrument of your choice would help...

I can only imagine what Zappa would have said here, but I'm guessing that there would be a lot of asterisks in the result - lol!

There is a forum just for it. This is for Sonar.  I don't see why that is so hard to understand.

It strikes me as odd about the following threads:

"New HP Computer..." with 20 replies
"Bari Sax" with 10 replies
"Reference Track"  with 4 replies

Each thread does NOT have anyone suggesting that they are in the wrong forum. Yet none of them actually discusses very much about directly using of SONAR. To me they are totally ancillary to the use of SONAR (i.e. they could be posted in ANY generic DAW forum).

Anyone else see the irony?

The battle lines drawn are they, if this thread is a problem one can just ignore it and it may go away otherwise a CH invasion could occur.

When people say "CH invasion" or such, it seems so "us and them" to me.

I was under the (mistaken?) impression that we are a singular and total community of SONAR users.

What's the double standard?

Duckbar is a utility/hack that runs on X3.

What you have here is a thread that cross posts seemingly everywhere full of misquotes and advertising that isn't relevant to the X3 forums whatsoever.

Or are looking for further praise for your song in which case you already have it from me in #41.

Anyway it's quite clear the mods aren't going to move this thread where it belongs, I think it's inevitable the X3 forum is gonna be no different to the coffeehouse soon, given up caring about it.

The funny thing about forums posts is that when they get read by certain people it tends to exaggerate things in their heads, or they tend to rewrite what somebody else said and exaggerate/re-render it.
I certainly don't give a stuff about this stupid thread anymore so I guess that makes me no longer "upset", not that I was ever "upset".....

Your assessment is correct, I think I might classify this thread as an aside. It could better have started as OT or "By the way..."

I'm not liking the "Turf" aspects of this forum lately where someone say's or post something negative or perceived as such there seems to be evidence of heavy handed User policing, not just in this thread alone. What comes to mind is a little less of some of this needs to go any further than necessary IMHO.

I like to joke around as much as anyone else so I'm just as guilty on that end so I pledge to ease up my self.

Hopefully those that can see fit will curtail their own obnoxious behavior.
