Fleer
Be gone with you you shod and shady senators
Give out the good leave out the bad evil cries
I challenge the mighty titan and his troubadours
And with a smile
I'll take you to the seven seas of Rhye

That Dr. Seuss really stands the test of time. Fleer I am.

Actually no...there is Whiskey, and then there is Rye Whiskey..
not really the same thing...while technically in the same family
of beverage.  Kinda like "regular bread" and "rye bread"...LOL

Yeppers...the canooks use the term interchangeably, but American
Rye has Rye in it...and "regular" Whiskey does not...

Whisky or whiskey[1] is a type of distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Various grains (which may be malted) are used for different varieties, including barleycorn (maize)rye, and wheat. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, generally

Thanks!  Though when some have said to me "you are very calm and patient" (not specifically with regard to what I do at IK, but in general and even more so with IT  or other teaching / hand-holding I do from time to time) I have to reply with "but not always so on the inside!"

I like the anvil idea, not because I'm frustrated and/or cruel but more due to the way anvils were featured in the old cartoons I grew up on.

A falling anvil is a Grade A attitude adjuster. Speaking of cartoons, the machine the guy built to kick himself in the rear end seems like it would be useful at times.

Indeed!  I didn't realize until today that whiskey and rye are the same thing or perhaps I may still be a bit confused on all that so I'll have to keep sampling both to be sure.

Whether or not rye and whiskey (whisky for our Canadian friends) are the same is a question that will get different answers depending on who you ask.

Why do we call Scotch 'Scotch' instead of just calling it 'whiskey'?  Or Bourbon?

Seems to me that the more specific names are used when it's important to the 'speaker' make a distinction.

Personally, I prefer a bit of rye blended with my corn squeezins.
