With Syntronik being not very long ago and the Ampeg update just coming out, I thought T-Racks must be quite a ways out. That's a lot of action from IK in a short period.

Do the V4 plugs work with it?

How much is the upgrade from Max 4 to Max 5?

Can I please have the download links before anybody else?

We will have more details published tomorrow including pricing but I'm pretty sure a lot of folks in this thread and regulars around here will probably be able to get it for a smidge under a benjamin.

We have been handling any requests from people who feel they should qualify for Ampeg SVX 2 upgrade directly and to the satisfaction of many.  Note that there was a system issue where MAX and other bundle users were not qualifying but that was fixed and in the past freebies/bonuses from group buys/BOGO/etc or otherwise NFR software did not qualify for upgrades.

If you feel that a proposed resolution was not satisfactory in your case, feel free to drop me a PM to discuss.

Also please note that there are some who are doing their best to go to bat for policy changes even in cases where products were obtained as free choices in promotions/group buys and those same people are also handling cases where they have helped people in exactly that scenario get the upgrade pricing for Ampeg SVX 2.

I don't recall anybody I've worked with directly on the Ampeg SVX 2 upgrade being left angry.

This is a nice surprise. Hoping to see improvements in CPU efficiency among these fine processors -- that's my only issue with most of the T-RackS stuff.

That was before.  It's a shame that the IK ambassador had to do this.  I think there's a lot that could be simpler when it comes to upgrades.  If you have a license how you got it should not always be an issue.   I just found that this latest issue was odd and never encountered anything like it before.
Is there a grace period on those who just bought TRacks?   Will they have to pay for an upgrade?

I'll probably still be holding out for the half off sale.  I don't
think it's going to defeat O7A in my Mastering Chain, so I'll be
in no rush to upgrade.  So far waiting has paid off handsomely...

I'm curious about this as well since I don't have MAX but own everything.  I think the $99.99 upgrade covers it by this statement in the last section before pricing:  "Previous users, owning some or all modules, can go straight to T-RackS 5 and take advantages of all the new features."

Basically you get the new engine which should update the use of all modules plus you get the four new modules.

Perhaps Peter can confirm.

No, but it should upgrade all your existing plugins like fwrend said. So $99 it is.
Any info on when it gets launched?

In my case I have all of the T-Racks components now, but did not purchase them all at the same time. I just looked at the site and it looks like the $99 upgrade price is for the equivalent of the "Grand" and there is a $199 upgrade price for the equivalent of the T-Racks Max, at least for me. As an offset, it looks like they may have tossed me some extra jam points, so it would cost me about $140 to update all the T-Racks modules-using jam points. To be honest, that is still to pricey for me. I'm not going to pay more than $100 to update Superior 2-3, or T-Racks 4-5. I'm not saying it's not worth it for some of you--but it isn't for me.
