Here's the T4 shell.  This functionality is no longer usable?  Did you really take away the ability to use monitoring tools in a MASTERING tool?

We're not taking anything away in T-RackS version 4.x.  ARC integration, however, is not part of T-RackS 5 Standalone (there will be no ARC button there).

If you'd like to use ARC for your mixes and masters, you can use T-RackS 5 in your DAW for critical listening.  After export, you can do your album assembly and such as you would by using the T-RackS 5 Standalone if you wish.

Why would T5 get regressed like this?  This is about the most bone-headed thing I've ever seen a software vendor do - take away the ability to use their products together.

I want my money back.  How do I get a refund?

This is something IK needs to reconsider in my opinion. When I use the shell...it's always in standalone mode. Otherwise I just use the plugins.
The ARC 2 integration was a huge feature for me. Hopefully thousands of others will feel the same and it will be added later.
I've always thought they should have included it in the Amplitube 4 shell as well.

This will be a total IKM deal breaker for me.  Up until this I was Max everything, taking the upgrades, etc.  Total IKM fanboy.  This is a clear demonstration that they are NOT to be trusted.  I'll be unwinding my IKM ownership and going elsewhere if this doesn't get fixed.  This is sooooo unbelievable I don't even know what to say.  Seriously.

I'd already relayed concern and questioned this before posting here today.  Still, this is not on the plate for T-RackS 5 Standalone, so at this time I'd plan accordingly if this is an issue.

I hope this was an oversight that will be addressed in future updates. The Lurssen Console should be integrated as well.

Are the new modules backward compatible with T-Racks 4? Can T-Racks 5 coexist with T-Racks 4 on the same machine? Thanks.

Agreed. Seems like a no brainer feature that only IK could take advantage of, Odd choice.

Looks like we're in similar situations. Except I'm weighing the merits of not doing anything... Again, the new plugs do look nice. Vari-Mu looks good. One seems to be a pretty handy little one-stop-shopping quick-and-dirty bus processor to get things in the ballpark quickly with little futzing about. On the other hand I have other options for that. Master Match, well, I can do much the same thing in Ozone. EQual, looks useful and cool, but more so than LP-EQ? Maybe a bit less of a CPU hog? Who knows - IK plugs aren't necessarily known for being light either...

Well, I had $30 in jam points and I'm not inclined to buy any additional IK plugins.  Other than the original bundle, which were the first third party plugins I bought after getting Sonar, I've added specific plugins when on sale from IK.  Honestly, I have way more VST's than I'll ever need at this point, but for $70 I'll get the updated versions of the IK stuff I have, a few extras, and that new metering plugin which looks like a gem.  Bottom line, I couldn't justify $199, but $70 seemed reasonable.  I went for it.

Hilariously, because Ozone7 can host VST plugins in the chain, I *can* use ARC in Izotope's standalone mastering product, but not in IK's own (yes, I checked).

That seems... ironic, at the very least.

(edit: and, for that matter, Ozone can host all my other T-Racks modules! And any others I want to use in a chain!)

I still might go for this but it sure does make the standalone environment less attractive, and it sure doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I had been pushing about the ARC integration issue and have some more information to share that I received from our developers.

Apparently the decision wasn't arbitrary nor did anybody want to take away something that was there in v4 and expected.  It was definitely not simply an oversight but there are things that made this decision necessary on the coding side.

ARC remains an important product for us and definitely for our users (as you have clearly shown!) and we are working on an exciting new version re-coded and which will be supported far into the future (due to being a completely revamped ARC) and will be a great with T-RackS 5.  They will be a power couple once again, once this new version is available.

I hope that helps, at least giving more background to the existing decision as well as laying out the future of ARC and T-RackS 5 together.

Thanks for the update.

IMO, the RIGHT thing to do would be to keep the current ARC working in T5 until the new ARC becomes a reality.  THEN do an update to T5 to support the new ARC.  You know, the way ST3 was updated to support Syntronik.

At the very least, the loss of ARC support should've been made clear up front.

I've been made whole, so this is my last on the subject.

I took Peter's explanation to mean that Arc 2 old code is not compatible with T5 new code. So they will update Arc 2 to a newer version that will work inside T5.

Any word on being able to buy this in the CS?  Will it be available upon release in the CS for 99 credits/dollars?  Thanks

T-RackS 5 is available in Custom Shop but is not available for Gear Credits (the latter is also in the FAQ).  Thanks!
