drum4u I still haven't been able to get this resolved with Cakewalk. I would think with the roll out snafu last week the email business would have been fixed by now. I've sent 3 emails and haven't heard a peep. Come on guys - let's get this fixed! Exactly the same for me . I contacted Cakewalk September 16, 09 . Sent three Emails to Cakewalk . I have NO anti-spam filtering, NO blocking of Emails . Posted numerous times on the forum . Still no reply -

OK I read post 1 as instructed. So what's this 6 pages later....a wailing wall where we can all be mutually ignored out of harms way? 'scuse me but do you have this much trouble clearing funds from folks accounts or does that part of the system strangely work OK? It's all looking a tad naff to anyone passing ain't it? Or even funny if somebody was wicked enough to decide to place a few strategic links pointing here. Needless to say I'm having problems with the much touted 'free next paid update' too....does anyone care? aaaaaarrrrgggghhhh....but wait nobody can hear you scream in space. Support email sent. Although looking here I fear it may be a flimsy reed to cling to.

My issue is: I have tried to download 8.5 producer 8 times now and every time the download reaches 1.16 GB I receive and error and it stops. I only end up with a partial file each time and this takes less than the 180 minutes it takes for the link to expire.

The complaints proliferating here and around the forums do not indicate a 'few isolated cases' of folk having problems here. Nor is user error the likely cause of the majority, these database issues clearly are the biggest cause of complaint and they perrenially appear to continue without any resolution. This one I just pulled randomly from the sack from 2 years ago I'm sure a bit of careful research into the subject and it would look even more embarrassing for our hosts. http://forum.cakewalk.com...=account+registrations Same thing, registrations not showing up, no responses from customer services = frustrated customer. I don't expect a swift resolution here just same ol', same ol, and if somebody else tells me to check my spam filter again I'm likely to feed them a can of the stuff whilst it is still in it's container. Come on Cakewalk, you know it, any consumer rights organisation would have a field day with this Customer Service record and your preparedness to allow this to continue WILL diminish the allowances your faithful customers currently extend toward you.

darlomrh Hi Cake Team, Still no registrations and still not eligible. Any update when the *small* number of accounts will be fixed? I have fired an email off to support as yet still no reply. The pizazz of receiving the "Your free upgrade is available" email so many days ago is starting to wear off now. :( C'mon at least an update.... Cheers Thanks to Eric from Cake CS for finally sorting things out.... for the record it was in reply to the post and not any emails sent.

my own fault: didn't pay attention to the < > (previous / next) arrows. since I've registered all versions that I ever bought my registration list is a bit longer and that's why one has to turn pages, everything is listed there.

Well, I took someone's advice and tried to use several download managers and I keep getting the same thing: either it stops downloading or toward the end it says the file is broken. I've tried finding another link for the file but they don't exist. I guess I'm going to have to ask for a refund...

aries aries I am suffering from 2. Yesterday (16/09/09), I received the email 'Your Free SONAR Upgrade Is Here - Introducing SONAR 8.5 Producer'. I checked my registration list and found my recent upgrade to Producer 8 was there. I decided to wait a bit to think what to do, as I could purchase one or more of the SONAR 8.5 Producer Elite Version Upgrades. Today (17/09/09), I checked my registration list and found all my Sonar registrations were missing which go back to Sonar 1. Today (18/09/09), my registration list is back including Sonar Producer 8.0 and Dimension Pro. The Serial numbers are there but Registration Codes are not. On 21/09/09 all my registration codes and serial numbers are in my registraion list. But I am suffering from #1. On Monday (21/09/09) I decided which free upgrade to go for and used my email 'Your Free SONAR Upgrade Is Here' to access the offer. I ended up with " You are not eligible to buy: " on going to the checkout. I upgraded to Sonar 8 on the 31st July 2009 and registered it on 3rd August 2009. I informed Eric who set admin on to the problem (its looks like some computer database glitch). Its now Thursday (24/09/09) and still cannot get my free upgrade order through.

No change here yet, although an email to Lars prompted a request for Serials. So at least I'm aware that somebody is at least aware. Which is a great deal more reassuring than being ignored. Previously to that a 15 minute trans-atlantic call proved fruitless though as my fear of the call cost forced me to put the phone down before I got past the queue, with some ghastly voice reminding me after every tune that maybe my issue could be resolved via the website.... The music was bearable though.

My problem is weird because I did not buy sonar from the online store, for some reason the login did not reconize my email, but I have registerd my product earlier, so I decided to register again and it told me my serial number is already registerd what can I do???

BMOG make sure you are in the right region when you log in at the top it says 'Change Region' if you are not in the same region as when you set up your login it won't recognize your email. The system knows your product is registered which is why it won't let you enter it again, the problem most people are having is the registrations are not showing up against their accounts. Don't worry about not buying online, many of us have purchased from retailers your registrations should still appear in your account. As for what to do there are a few of us asking that question at the moment with precious little feedback so far. Being as you are in the States it may be worth making a call to Customer Support as I've yet to hear back via email from them which again seems to be a common complaint. Hopefully you received your registration codes via email so you can at least use the products you have.

Now was able to download the 8.3.1 update no problem. This sucks it is like I am a brand new users with no valid serial number, I tried to call yesterday and was no one ever answered, what's up with Cakewalk

Well, I would appreciate any ideas. I tried to download 8.5 about 20 times with DAP and although I never got a complete download I ran the .exe to see where the installation would stop. Every time it reported that the ESD_Setup-3.bin file was corrupt. Each download I get to 1.96 GB now and 20MB of the file will not download and I can't find another location for the file....

Hello, Almost case #2, i don't see my Sonar 8 producer purchase in my account.. And cannot upgrade to 8.5 (not eligeable).. I can see : Music Creator 3, Sonar Studio 5, Sonar Producer 7 , that i purchased online on the cakewalk site. I bought a box upgrade to Sonar Producer 8 on http://www.dv247.fr. I already registered online i have my registration code. I think i have used a different email adress than the one of my account to register 8.0 which can be the problem. Can some one at cakewalk help me ?? Xavier

I just called sales (was having all 3 problems) - Jack very quickly and very courteously had me up and running with the 8.5 download, and he merged/corrected my account registrations etc. All seems well with my Cakewalk site account now. He sent me a link to the download, and even registered the 8.5 version for me. The download worked great. However, after unzipping and running the setup on my new Windows 7 install, I get this error: "Cannot locate the required version of the program on this system..." Do I need to install version 8 prior to installing 8.5?
