Yeah, I know, sorry, disappointed and angry, and hurt and rejected and all that. Day in day out, someone's striking up the violins around here. Sadly not for the purposes of actually making music.

Anybody else bored of it? I'm really bored of it.

I think what my ol pal, John doesn't realize is his retorts are just as riveting as the tales to which he's responding;-)

Come on Billy, what have you said, recently, that you've not been saying for literally months on end? What's the new detail?

New detail, I venture, would be commentating, and arguably worthwhile. Saying the same thing over and over really is whining.

You're very right Billy, ol pal.  There is a major difference.  And it's usually quite noticeable.  That's why it's so puzzling that it so often devolves into the "Sharks" and the "Jets" no matter which it is.

I think there are many reasons why any thread devolves (egos, victim-itis, arrogance, on an on).   But I know lately I've made an effort to really back down on forums or to try to catch myself getting into the mud.   It's not easy because as a friend of mine has always said: 
"If you play fair and the other guy doesn't, you lose"  and I think humans have a natural defense mechanism.

But that being said, I don't see this thread (up until about 2 hours ago) as a bad one.   Users should be able to express their disappointment if it exists and if for good reason.   It can only help the product, I would think.

To stop the flow of good and bad would be, well dumb.   But some prefer to control the conversation it seems.  Oh well.

I don't see any Cakewalk Bashing, btw; so I'm not sure why someone would be all puffed up over this thread unless it's habitual ;)

But look in the mirror a bit.   If you're all fluffy happy with everything in X1 leave us who are not to our commenting and complaining - even if repetitively - with hopes THINGS GET FIXED FOR US TOO.

I'm not completely happy with everything. I've put a number of bug reports in (to which I've received prompt replies, for the record). You know, dealing with stuff constructively, through the channels provided.

You are on this forum enough to know that Cakewalk have said a bazillion times that this is not the way to get attention for your issues. So you know this is futile. Yet still you do it. This is absolutely whining, and it's simply rude: you are dragging down the value of the forum for the people who want to use it for it's intended purpose.

Can you imagine being the victim of endless attacks. Just for making comments on a forum. That's atrocious behaviour. I demand that all those responsible be castigated further by said victim. I'm not going to judge a man for calling a spade a spade. It's peer to peer.

Oh there's no question Beatz, ol pal, that John possesses a sharp, incisive mind and an ability to quickly separate the wheat from the chaff...at least as far as his opinions take him.  That's why it's all the more puzzling why he relentlessly continues to choose to present himself in a public forum in the most unflattering ways possible.  Why is that, John?
