Brandon Ryan [Cakewalk ] ba_midi Stone House Studios Oh what the hell! : ) Brian LOL It seems a lot of us feel that way ;) But, it also speaks well of how Cake is performing as a company these days. A far cry from a year ago, eh? ;) Kudos to their hard work and commitment to their products and customers. Thanks Billy. Nice of you to say - and even nicer that you feel that way. You're more than welcome Brandon. It's how I honestly feel. I'm tremendously impressed with the quality and stability of X1 these days. I've been playing with the new toy tonight and again- I am impressed. It really does "sound" great. Whatever you all are doing, just keep doing it. This is becoming a pure pleaure product to work in and make music with. Again,my kudos to you all for your great efforts and results! THank you.

I'm not saying this is the case but if: Cakewalk are able to produce a regular cashflow from PC modules (good ones like the ones released so far) and this prolongs the development cycle, thus delivering an X2 that's as stable as X1 D Expanded, then I'm all for it. Note this is a big change in my views about SONAR/Cakewalk over the last 16 months since X1's release.

Just an update, there are about 400+ units left. We are still in the process of notifying all our customers. We may have to up the limit but for now if you definitely want in on the deal, buy it soon. We will keep you updated on the status. For those of you that already purchased, a big thank you! We hope you love it. We think it's a high-quality module that surpasses the competitors who are charging a lot more. Keep the feedback coming and again thanks for your support!

Does anyone know how CW go about creating their emulations? Waves and UA run all kinds of tests and analysis on the actual hardware and from there... they do something. I really have no clue to be honest hahaha. I assume this makes their emmulation far more accurate to that particular piece of hardware. Does CW do the same or do they tweak and tweak, somewhat blindly, until they feel its close? If they analyze actual hardware it would be nice to see a couple different emulations of the same model of hardware in the form of a patch. Like a PC2A serial#xxxx and Serial#zzzz since we all know that each piece of vintage gear tends to have subtle nuances unique to that piece. I don't known that something like that exists with any other plug. Heck that's why some engineers own a few of the same pieces of gear... for the distinct mojo that it imparts over the another one of the exact same piece.

Well...I haven't fully learned X1 yet, not even close...but I figured I'd go ahead and spring for the new limiter too. So far X1 has been quite a learning challenge for me...trying to migrate over from Sony Vegas Pro 11 (for audio work). I'll stick with Vegas for video work, but X1 hopefully will be my DAW from now on.

I tore down an old mix that I've never really been satisfied with. One of the many. I gave the PC2A and good run through. I am pretty impressed with it so far. I'm still learning it of course and how it handles different sounds but it was extremely easy to get dialed in fairly close right away. I wasn't sure how much I'd be using the R37 since I haven't heard anyone mention it yet but I've found it to be really handy already. Whether it's a "perfect" emulation of a LA-2A or not it's great tool for me to have access to. Very well done fellas!

Release it as a VST plug-in as well and you'll reach 1000 in a few hours. Dumb game you are playing Cakewalk by locking in into PC.
Just bought the module 3 package but I didn't think about that. Is that the case? You can't use this and others (like the concrete limiter?) outside Pro Channel? This does seem like an Apple trick.
