The pricing isn't going to change. We will have a special offer for early adopters that has nothing to do with pricing. If you look at the feature list, you can seem some of the highlights. We feel the pricing is fair and that the upgrade is a really great value. I just wanted to be clear on pricing so there was no confusion.

Four days ago I got an email saying this....

Upgrade to SONAR X2 Producer for only $99/£89/€99*
Starting August 1 through October 31st, when you upgrade to SONAR X1 Producer, you will get SONAR X2 Producer for free once it becomes available. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of all the new features in SONAR X1 without having to worry that a new version is just around corner.  * Free upgrade will be available as a download upon release this fall

    Today........

Get SONAR X2 Producer before your price goes up
As a SONAR 8.5 Producer customer, your upgrade price for SONAR X2 Producer will be going up to $199/€199/£159 after August 31st. The good news is you can lock in the very best upgrade price today thanks to the FREE SONAR X2 upgrade program.

The newly announced upgrade price for people who already have X1  is $119/€119/£99 but may be less than that come the the time that you can actually place orders ?

    Confused ? you will be.....

Sign me up for early adoption! I want it ASAP.
Was going to be upset if it was more than $99 because people who got in now at that price get a free upgrade.
Send me a special offer I will upgrade, Thanks Cakewalk.
Can't wait for the release, excited about the new improvements!

    See Andrew's post.
I interpret that as no discount for early adopters.
Maybe they will throw in a free "something or other"???

    Still, $99 ain't bad.

Prolly the summin' "special" will be summin' I already have, like the full Rapture or summin' I don't want like ++Z3eta++ (or whatever it's called).

If it is as stable as X1 currently is I will be a happy camper at this price.

For some reason I have a feeling that the early adopter incentive is going to cost more money though... It will probably be a good deal but it will cost more money. Just a guess, hope I'm wrong.

I just ordered X1 Production Suite for $399 so I presume I'm going to get a free upgrade once X2 comes out. I must say it looks very swish....loving the visual enhancements I've seen, especially in the clips window.
