Is there any way to fake it out, where you could somehow have multiple installations, with variations in where they look for the slots, or somehow have a piece of code intercept/redirect the search and retrieval of the slot contents? In other words, create some sort of a programmatic layer that could somehow support having multiple locations and LFO contents. Would that be able to extend the 80-slot limitations in the product, by somehow creating some means of having more than one set of LFOs? Bob Bone

Rapture looks in one location for a fixed set of file names. I cannot see a way to get around this limitation. I keep several LFO directories and swap them out as needed.

This then means that some of Craig's patches may/probably will end up using the wrong LFOs ? Would it be possible for someone who has these, or maybe Cakewalk, to make them available somehow ? I presume we're only talking about a few tiny wav files. I can tell different sets of LFO's from their creation dates, but I can't tell if any of them have been overwritten. I can live with swapping folders if I know which is which and what they contain.

b rock At FiSound, we made the UD-LFO install optional. Some other Expansion Packs just overwrite the 80 slots. Neither solution is perfect, and - as you've mentioned - some presets will become unrecognizable.
Just a thanks too @b rock ... I didn't recognize you as a designer/collaborator earlier - luv your work :) I bought Universal 120 v2 ... it's sweet and massive (and bonuses!) (I might have to try some of your other freebies from your initial link). I'm yet to switch in the LFOs, but now recognizing the 'feature' will be sure to take LFO directory backups before Rapture pack installs.

scook The Craig_Anderton_Minimoog_Tribute_%28Win%29.zip (purchased last year) did not include LFOs. It contains the programs, multisamples and "Minimoog Videos and Examples". While the LFOs may be interesting to have, several other expansion packs I have (Piscis, Second Coming and U120) compete for the 80 available slots.
Bummer, some of those LFOs made a big difference in a few patches. Will have to discuss with CW...
... and thanks @Craig Anderton ... As a result of this thread I bought your Minimoog Tribute and Electronic Guitars :). Also no LFOs in the Moog pack. (There are some in the Guitars). Let's see what CW have to say - hopefully they can post them for download.

You can download the Minimoog LFOs until June 26th from: https://www.hightail.com/download/ZUcwYlJkNEgzeUlaQ2NUQw I'm really glad this thread came along, it explains why songs where I used the Minimoog patches didn't play back as intended.

Thanks indeed - that's a simply fantastic effort. [Update] - Oh OK! - They are the ones already populated to my Rapture LFO directories. They were there before the Moog pack and not distributed with it (I believe - zip interrogation and dates of files in my LFO dir). Must admit - I didn't hit any issues when I walked through the the sounds in the pack. CA Moog Tribute: 20-26,99 [Update] - Posts below, and logic, suggests these are in fact default LFOs.CA Electronic Guitars: 30-33 Fisound U120: 20-99 (dir swappped in/out to prevent overwrite - clearly identified by Fisound). No doubt Galbanum packs have a bunch of overlaps too(?)

Don't hold me to this (from long-term memory). I seem to recall LfoWaveform 20-26; 99 being the original Rapture 1.0 installation, and I believe that they were copies of some of the hard-coded internal LFOs (0-19; 100 & 101). I want to say that Craig's Minimoog Tribute occupied the 27-31 slots.

These are the default LFO's shipped with Rapture. Since Rapture uses a fixed set of names, I opened them in an editor to make sure.

Well that's embarrassing...let me check further. I thought I just zipped the folder that was in the original expansion pack materials I sent to Cakewalk, but it was pretty late and I was pretty tired. I'm heading off to Gibson now to invent some things, but will look into it tonight or tomorrow. Sorry about that...!!

I found 'em! Actually it seems like they're the same ones I used for the Electronic Guitars expansion pack. I loaded up a couple songs that used Rapture with the custom LFOs, and now the songs sound like they're supposed to. Here's a download link that's good for 7 days: https://www.hightail.com/download/ZUcyb2VETSt6NFBtcXRVag The four LFOs are: LfoWaveform030.wav LfoWaveform031.wav LfoWaveform032.wav LfoWaveform033.wav Sorry for the delay. Sending them to Cakewalk right now.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about but I'm glad to see something of use to others came from this thread. Nice one, Craig. Still haven't had a chance to dig around some of these suggestions yet but some of you may or may not be pleased to know I probably won't be dying in the next year... so that's good. ;-)

Nature can be a real jerk but nope... no intentions here if I can help it. I just have to go and have that confirmed on an annual basis so all the fancy medical dudes can carve me up like a turkey to try and prevent it. I'm sure I'll be fine. Having to face my own mortality in such a way so young can only contribute to much more interesting music... so there's that. ;-p

Yes, here I have a great deal of respect for you and how you have enriched this forum. For me I faced my mortality a long time ago in Viet Nam. I don't worry about it much anymore. You however have a ton of things left to give. I for one am looking forward to what they will be.

Sorry... I was perhaps being a little melodramatic but it has been a stressful few days. Thanks, John and I'm sorry you had to endure that cruel, meandering war. Glad you made it out the other side ok. I wanted very much to be an RCAF pilot and begged my parents to sign me up for cadets when I was a kid but consistently got told I was growing too fast to fit into the cockpits. lol Probably for the best anyway what with the latent gimpiness. I faced mortality more on street level instead as young man but now all the wars I fight are internal and against disingenuously polite, faceless bureaucracies. In some ways those enemies are much more enormous but at least they won't end with a bayonet in my gullet. It is however why I approach all this music stuff with such urgency. It steals so much time from me it threatens my mission. I will be ever so ticked if I don't get to leave my stain on this world. I'd even settle for an oddly colored smudge at this point. Thus the need to understand synths. There is no way I can organize and direct large groups of musicians like I used to let alone teach them my crap and record it. Just glad the tech is there and at the level needed to at least make it possible in a virtual sense. Cheers.

And as long as this is at the top and to bring it back on topic... the healthy synth library of the X1 Production Suite was a major decider for me jumping on Sonar. I needed to know that I could compose pretty much anything I needed to with pretty much any instrument sound I needed in said composition. I had no idea what was what at the time but it proved to be the correct choice. If I had gone with my other top picks I would have had to spend more money to get those sounds... meaning I would not have those sounds at all... because the money wasn't there. Just needed to learn how to use it which I would have had to anyway with third party gack.
