No, wrong post "edited" bapu is... He thinks he's not?  But he is. VERY! Evil... You have to dig deep? But the evil is there :-)

(you may need a backhoe, but it's there.) Perhaps fracking, or other advanced mining techniques, combined with some experienced geologists? And maybe some deep water drilling rigs? But it's there.

I think this sounds great Bapu!

Something seems to have opened up in the middle. The vocals sound really nice and there is a space that has appeared that allows me to hear the way your vocal lines and the bass part interact. It made the vocals sound more natural and relaxed. The bass part and the bass playing seems to frame the vocals nicely. It's a pleasure to sit back and listen to your insights and reflections.

Wonderful!

best regards,
mike

The Maj7 chords really change the vibe...
The song sounds very different now...  nice work Ed...

I see this has had a fair share of work done on it.

This is the first version I've heard and it is a story that couldn't be told be anyone else in a way that would mean as much.

IOW it's perfect and therefore a fully baked cake that can be taken from the oven.  I enjoyed my slice at least.

Ed, as a recovering (from everything) person with 25.5 years and always wondering if I can do it again tomorrow and also saved by a wonderful woman, I have to say you nailed the lyrics .  They were well written for this subject.  Now, because we're always honest with each other, I thought you were using a keyboard for the bass.  It really had very little bottom.  I'm using the same phones I have been for all the other tunes so who knows.  Is it bad?  No.  It's just too bright or maybe over compressed for my ears. Now,  I haven't nailed that whole compression thing  so Mark does my bass tracks.  I did really love the spirit of your tune.  Well written, buddy!

1st time listerner, and whatever technical problems you had (if any) have been solved.  The mix sounded very open and clear w/ space for everything and none left over.

Now, if only there were some technical measure to get such heartfelt performances.  the content is great, but the delivery is perfect.  Sometimes we forget that song is all about story, even if it is a frozen moment in the story.  Impressive.

very much Bob Dylan school of powerful lyrics. I didn't hear original mix but this one to my ears is flawless- very impressed by originality and composition and of course as always, musicianship. Well well done!! :) - Daren

I hadn't heard the old versions, but the new one sounds well mixed to me.  Your vocals are heartfelt and personal.  Thanks for sharing a page from your diary. :)

I like the final mix (but it sounds like it was mixed by the bass player :-)

The vocals work well with this too. The hammer dulcimer was an interesting choice (I apologize if I misidentified that instrument). I can't really hear the chick vocals in the bkgrnd.
