His sig says he has X3 so I would guess that he bought the X3 upgrade. $100 over the US price and you still have to download it. No thanks.

I was randomly selected to be an early user and I purchased with PayPal (as an upgrade from X3) through the Cakewalk website/Cleverbridge option:
 

 
It's within about a fiver of the current exchange rate.

Plus there's an option on the purchasing dialogue to enter a VAT number if you're VAT registered.
