Who likes using one screen vs. two screen monitors with X1?
Not sure what the bakers had in mind when they coded Sonar X1 but it can either be used with one or two or more screen monitors. Anyone use to have two screens but then transitioned to just one? What do you like about one screen vs. two? And anyone currently using two screens but would rather just use one?

I've always used 2 - the skylight X1 interface seemed designed for a single large screen, which frustrated me in the beginning - I effectively avoid it by using my own template of track view on one screen and console view on the other.

Two 19" atm. I want to go larger, but still want two, unless I get a 24" wide screen and use the 19" as wings Cheers Grif

Usually I compose and arrange on a single screen, but once I get into mixdown I add a second monitor for the console/Prochannel view and space to open up FX GUIs.

Due to space restrictions I had to hook my rig up to my TV. I miss my 24" and 19" monitor, great setup for a main screen and a separate mixer window :(

I have been with two 17" for many years now. My graphics card can handle 3 thought (bought it cos I wanted the third one for video when scoring for film). But now I feel like going back to one, but poking for a big wide screen (maybe keep a second one just for the video).

When I went to two, it was great to be able to span the track view across both screens and see an entire song at once. When it went to four screens, two seemed unimaginably primitive. Bottom two have track view, top left is console view, top right is plugins/meters.

I have 3. Once upon a time I couldn't imagine life without at least two. Since X1 and screensets though I could comfortably live with just one. I still think two or more is better, if only for the "at a glance" checking it gives me on other things but I don't think going to one would slow my workflow now like it would have done pre X1.

Two screens since Sonar 1 and I would never be happy with less than 2 screens. I now have 2x 24inch screens very nice.

I am fortunate enough to have 2 Samsung 24" monitors and I can't ever go back. Having the console view on the second screen is a thing of beauty. It has improved workflow 100%.

I like having just one 22" monitor because I'm really cramped for space in my little home studio. I'm downsizing everything and plan on just keeping the one monitor that I have now. With the screensets feature in X1, I can toggle back and forth between screens as needed very easily, so I don't feel the need for dual monitors.

I use three Screens now. I started with just one but now having three screens I would never go back to one again. Maybe two screens but not one. X1 rocks for multi screens you can really do alot with screen sets.

CJaysMusic Use 2 and would love to use 3 or 4 if they didnt get in the way of my speakers/monitors Stacking them vertically avoids using up extra desk space. I use 4 screens in a 2-up 2-down arrangement. For this you need a suitable bracket, e.g.: http://www.selbyacoustics...=84144&i=254965314

I use 4 x 23inches. i would go back 3, because what you get directly in front is not a screen but the sides of two screen, so i would have 3 x (27 or 30 inches) instead and this would put the screen right in front of me. but the most important on that matter is your video card. when you get 40+ channel going on the console view screen refresh and display processor speed is key. you will get lag between you click on the slidder and results showing on the screen. I love Sonar X1 interface.

I hate one, no matter how big..I like being able to snap windows into another screen easily etc. Using a 17" and a 23" Moving to two 21" (console stretched across) and two ~17" soon (edit + PRV) underneath.
