So Somebody is not getting the message out ...
You can't order it from them yet since it's not for sale yet. X1 goes on sale on Dec. 8th, so I would bet that its not even in Sweetwater's inventory yet since they don't have it in stock. In their case, they will get it a few days after Dec. 8th since that's the day it leaves our warehouse.
I suppose I wasnt clear. I realize I cannot order until the 8th , it is just that The salesman said he saw the full products listed and available at a later date, but NOT any upgrades
But thats OK I read there ill be free shipping in December so ill order from the CW store ..

Emailed Musicians Friend about purchasing X1 at the discounted upgrade price offered through Cakewalk, this was their reply:
Unfortunately, we are unable to tell what the price of the Sonar product when the new line comes out. We do offer the lowest prices on equipment, so when the price gets dropped on the X1 through cakewalk, there is a great chance ours will as well.
So that doesn't sound very reliable. Sweetwater, however, says they're going to sell it at the upgrade price. I, for one, will probably go that route. I can wait a few days to save $30 =P

When did you talk to them (I assume you're referring to Sweetwater)? Cuz the guy I talked to said they really JUST found out about it, because this release sprung up pretty spontaneously (as we on here already know). So maybe if you call back now, they'll know what's up.

I am thinking of upgrading as this Sonar looks the bizz, with its browsers and floating and dockable prv's and drag and drops. and pro channel. But my main concern is the Box!
