$50 for a soft synth upgrade that comes bundled with Producer edition, Nah... When Seth announced it would only cost $19 I was ready to purchase even though I don't use it. Perhaps if it was less money I would purchase it anyway, say about 20-40% less.
Purrrfect Audio DAW here. Wow!...

Nope. Not something that I'm interested in. If Cakewalk had a 64 bit version of a Hammond B3, Wurlitzer Electric Piano, Fender Rhodes, Mellotron, etc. - I'd be interested. Luddite! The B3 is 80 years old, dude. What are you, some ancient guitar-slinging primate?

Hi Dave... tho I'll probably get the update, I too would love for Cakewalk to come out with a really good, versatile B3 (with Leslie)... It's still what I use most often and tho I love my Kurzweil K2500's B3 mode, it would be very handy to have a virtual... Keni

I don't get the interest in "Hammond B3, Wurlitzer Electric Piano, Fender Rhodes, Mellotron" in the sense of all of them have been highly converted / sampled or modelled by loads of companies already.. esp the rhodes mk 2. I guess the b3 is the least sampled out of that lot I've got at least 2 versions of each , by a few makers.. it's nothing to do with the sound, but more they aren't exactly well represented as vst's or samples already.

Yep, I'll go for the upgrade. I'm finding that the current version of the Z3ta is being used more & more in my projects. Between them, the Z3ta, DimPro & Pentagon fill most of my synth needs.

i use an instance of z3ta+ in almost everything i do, along with other synths, and guitars! almost everything i do is not trance and dance (though i do dabble in that stuff for fun, too). i don't know if i will bite immediately on it, but probably will after the 1st point update. long live z3ta+

I'm definetly upgrading. I'm very glad Cakewalk is developing its plugins. I wrote a thread suggesting this in the other Sonar forum (pre X1)and. Session Drummer got some love and now z3ta. Rumor is Rapture 2 is on the the way. I'm hoping Dimension Pro gets some update love too. This is really Exciting to me. When great plugs get even better its a win/win. Would love to see more of this more often.

How about a reduced upgrade price for registered owners of zeta? We got stitched when it got included in Sonar Producer so now's a good time to heal old wounds . Grum.

Going by what CW has done in the past, I think I'll wait til SONAR X2 which will likely include Z3TA 2. I really like Z3TA and the presets, but why pay 50 bux when I'm going to upgrade every year anyway?
When one is doing the process of self-analysis, One should make sure that the Self that is doing the analysis is, in fact, sane. Sonar X3 (always patched to current) Win7X64 8gb RAM Quad Core AMD 3.6mhz TASCAM USB interface EMU 1616m PCIe interface w/breakout Rapture, Dimension Pro, Studio Instruments, Zeta 2, tons more of Cakewalk's software Tons of IK, NI Camel Audio and other softsynths, plugins M-Audio Keystation Pro 88

Rain Brandon Ryan [Cakewalk ] Wow this is surprising to me, but I guess it depends on what kind of music you do. No it doesn't. Z3ta Rules ;) - I've used Z3ta on all sorts of music - and I mean all sorts: from fattening basslines in Beatles-esque rock stuff to dark electro to out-of-this-world sound effects. That synth and the myriads of presets offer great starting points for all kind of stuff. P Of course, everyone's entitled to their opinion and tastes. :) I'll give it another run down, I haven't checked it since the first version that was included w/ Sonar. But I remember it was getting raves and being called one of the best soft synths available by some reviewers before Cakewalk bought it (or began licensing it or whatever) and I was totally unimpressed.

I am definitely upgrading. Hopefully, it will have its own midi matrix for arpeggiating. I don't mind the $50.00 upgrade. I know that this is going to be free in Sonar X2. It doesn't matter though because I want it now. Love Z3ta. The people that don't like it or use it is because they don't program it. Rapture is great but if you only use the presets you are really not using it to the best of its ability.

I think z3ta+2 should be FREE in SONAR X2, which should also be FREE. I mean, I was forced to use buggy versions of SONAR 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, not to mention X1! Plus, even though z3ta+2 looks like a major overhaul of z3ta+ with all new features, and is effectively a new synth product altogether, I think the fact that they share a common name should itself make the upgrade price FREE for registered z3ta+ users, and $1.00 for SONAR users. Ok, maybe free isn't practical, but no more than $.15!

I need a new car - for free. actually it can be an old car, since my daughter insists on hitting things. Why can't they build a car that doesn't dent, scratch or fall apart when you hit another car at 30 mph? I mean, we bailed out GM. They should bail me out because of the flawed product they produce. @
