Actually my number gets less sometime everyday without me do any posting or anything? So my question is; are the FORUM DATA deleted overtime or is it “someone” that abuse his power continuously delete my post and threads? I suggest that “SOMEONE” can take a good look in the TOS! I have done many positive and helpful threads here at this community; one that you all might perhaps remember was called “A helpful thread about SONAR!” Six or eight pages long about helpful tricks how to use SONAR. Many more then me like John, Jose, Scott and many other participants in shared their tricks about SONAR. Do search and see if you can find it? No, its gone + many other threads and reply; “someone” has deleted that + 1000 more other post and threads I have done. Thanks for listen! Best Regards Freddie though i usually agree with you and find you to have very good idea's and tricks about using sonar, im not sure i agree with you about missing threads. i cant say ive ever said" what happen to all those threads"? if you look good enough you'll find them :) this is a split decision for me. while on one hand i think what john was saying was spot on about not deleting any posts/threads,exc. but in this case,i think you know the post ray is talking about that he deleted. they contained profanity, weather or not those words were seperated by - - - - isnt something cakewalk wants to promote. 2 of mine were deleted but i can understand why,i quoted someone who had that in there posts. I'm not going to speak for anyone else, but I wouldn't hesitate to place a bet that the second John becomes an 'Admin' here ... you'll lose a lot of members. There is only one person in this entire forum that could be an unbiased volunteer admin and that is Bapu (Ed).

Bub - I am using your first comment above as an example of the larger issue, and my comments here are meant to be to the forum folks in general. Can we ALL please consider refraining from poking at folks and stirring things up? The Cakewalk folks (Ryan, I believe), JUST went through this like last night - to the point of actually having to edit individual posts. I would much rather we exercise some self-restraint, so that the Cakewalk folks can spend their time fixing and enhancing their products. Jeremy doesn't like Jimmy - Timmy feels slighted by Darlene, whatever/whoever - get over it, ALL of us. There is absolutely NO useful outcome to a bunch of drama here. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE all of us, stop with the personal jabs. Bob Bone

There is only one person in this entire forum that could be an unbiased volunteer admin and that is Bapu (Ed). If it was on post counts alone Bapu has that all sawed up but as is this is a Cakewalk forum I expect more bias towards their own product line and that includes moderation. Freedom of speech is always demanded even when the object of the access to any site is to support and promote their products. Not saying that it shouldn't be supported but it could be counter productive to the bottom line and reputation of the company represented here. All fighting aside(name calling, bickering, etc.), if they do have community moderators it would make sense that they support the product in a biased manner which in turn would immediately offend someone else. Not to say your wrong Bub, but pointing out certain people as you have could only keep the flame war going, granted I do enjoy the entertainment but in the end these threads get dumped to the Coffee House where Bapu is already the King anyway.

The problem with appointing forum members as moderators is quite simple - who's going to give up their weekends to fulfill their mod duties? Cakewalk would also need to appoint several because we all operate in different time zones across the world.

Best Regards Freddie That thread is still out there, I was just looking at it the other day. It was started by Jose and the thread title has been changed a few times by Jose, but it's still out there. You just don't know how to search for it because you're not computer savvy. I've had 3 posts deleted since I've been coming here, my post count is almost double yours. In every case, I feel Cakewalk made the right call. The first one I requested be deleted, the second one was a comment I made about Roland that they felt was not appropriate, and the third was in this thread. All justified on their part in my opinion. It is their forum ... not ours. If someone has deleted over 1,000 of your posts, maybe you should start to ponder why? Maybe you are give a lot of bad advice or getting in to an excessive amount of TOS violating confrontations with other forum members? That would be my observation. The fact that you are downplaying the reason your post was edited just goes to show what kind of person you really are. Something along the lines of your deleted post in my opinion. Bub,they just deleted a bunch of posts in this thread, why go backwards man? is it really worth it? maybe you skipped right over my post, but i did say "peace bub" live and let live. now im sure i could re-hash somethings you said directed towards me in this thread that were deleted but whats the point? just let it go man :) that was a smiley face bub. peace bub.

There is always that possibility but maybe those that are asked to be mods would have to agree to take it seriously and it would be up to the forum if it didn't work out. If a mod got too many legitimate complaints their mod status could be removed. I think it could work with the right safeguards. CW does a decent job of moderating except on weekends and at night. Thats is when the trouble often starts with selling of shoes and a few trolls appearing. I think if problems could be nipped in the bud sorta speak, it could be a good way to keep the forum going. I think its worth a try.

I'm perfectly happy with the Cakewalk forum Moderation efforts as they presently exist. There are already Cakewalk Forum TOS in place and we agree to abide by them when we sign up. It's up to us individually to remember that and that should be the end of it.

wo this thread is very long on stabbing back and forth ' when the focus should be the fact that a thread called X2 is rock solid has caused so much resentment. here a fact about sonar stability. i run a high end rig with many tracks , with great low latency tons of ram, cores, and trans rate screamin.sonar works but cracks drops and fights along the way. FOR ME AT THIS TIME? my buddy is running sonar x2 with his getto, dirty old. soundblaster. slow as grandma's walker system, on a vista 32 bit rig. 2 days of recording synths and guitar for him, it was my dream come true workflow with out a drop of issue's in 2 10 hours sessions. im as confused as the plot of this thread. i love you guys eather way, this thread got rid of my hangover, with coffee and asprin.

ryannadon I was just browsing the forum, and there really seems to be a lot of negativity regarding X2 & X2a. I just want to throw out there that I recently built a new 64bit desktop computer based on Window 7 & Sonar X2a, and I have not enjoyed this kind of stability since 8.5.3. Since I installed X2, I've not had a single crash. In fact, the only problem I've had is an issue with a 32 bit reverb plugin. Even that didn't cause a crash, just a bunch of noise. X1 was a complete disaster for me. A total waste of time and money. It never was solid for me. So trying X2 was a pretty big gamble for me. So I want to throw out some positivity to Cake. I'm a happy customer! Same here. The only things that have happened is it sometimes just stops on playback. I believe that to be the audio drivers as it happens with Adobe Audition as well. I doesn't bother me much I think it is caused by other things kicking in such as Anti virus and Tune up facilities

X2a is great here. X1d was as solid as a rock, too. I had a crash for the first time in months today, when accidently selecting "previous plugin" from my Cakewalk A-300 PRO when the PC was in focus. It's reproducible every time. Restart Sonar, everything is fine. So I won't do it again, it's hardly an issue.. X1d and X2a working extremely well here.
