(1) When cutting and pasting, SOMETIMES, I select a particular track lane, and the wave form gets pasted in another track lane. (2) And SOMETIMES, I have track lanes open, and there are some wave forms down in the lanes, there may also be a waveform that is the original track - the top one. (3) SOMETIMES, I try to cut a waveform and it just won't let me. I try selecting it every which way.

I have had trouble this past year with email. As in none. Started when I changed my account email address

Twice support responded that it was fixed. Got one message in September.

Tried again with support in October when lots of complaints were posted.

I also added 3 different addresses to the newsletter list.

I have recieved multiple messages since then. A couple of times.

But this message was only sent/received via the account email address.

For X2 owners only?

Welcome to The CakeWalk zone.

I got the email too.

I hope they add free resizable GUI of the Console view like Cubase 7 console. I also hope they have add VST3 + unlocked all the colors of the GUI like in the old days.

But most of all, BUG Fixes! The news of X2a are more then welcome.

Lanes!

For stars sake!

Please let them have addressed the many issues here. As there are so many (issues), I'm fairly certain they would do some...?

Here's hoping they solved those that trouble me so much!

Doubtful very doubtful. CW said some time ago that Vista will not be supported. Now that does not mean X2a wont run in Vista. However, I suggest you do as I did and update your OS to Windows 8.

Some of those 50 enhancements and improvements will be things like correcting spelling mistakes in the manual. Was there really 50+ things in X2 that needed improvement? I doubt I'll notice 5 improvements. Sorry, my doctor tells me I'm clinically cynical.

Will the new patch require X2 to be installed, or is it standalone? I just upgraded to X2, haven't installed it yet, and I'm wondering if I should just wait a few more days for the patch to come out. Been a user since SONAR 5, just can't remember how this works.

You will almost certainly need X2 installed - this is a patch, not a full download, I'd be extremely surprised if it was otherwise.

Yes, you can install X2 now and then install the patch when it's released.

According to the blog X2a will "introduce many new exciting features". I don't buy it. When they say word like introduce and new, I'm expecting just that, NEW EXCITING FEATURES. So when it comes out let's count how many we get. If you count win 8 support that's 1. How are bug fixes new features? I want some boring old features returned, eg full colour customization.

Or are they just showing all three emus at once?

It looks to me like a new drop down menu to add a PC module with graphic representations..  It seems to be appearing from a plus sign at top of PC.  Perhaps one of the UI enhancements?

Nb photoshopped images mean nothing generally.

Anyway we've had enough time for this. X1B should have been released by now, when is x1c coming out? ;)

Just doing the flip side of the coin....

The reason why there are see so many ui 'enhancements" is because of touchscreen. This could end up using more screen real estate. Some might not like that.

Just making assumptions based on nothing. We will see.

Most likely we'll just see an option to make parameters touch friendly so one could turn on or off the touchscreen option.
This way it wont take up any screen real estate if you don't use a touchscreen.

Id rather see bug fixes as top priority than any major enhancements, was just making on observation based on that graphic. In my mind anything new that is added often means new bugs!

I'm in no hurry to upgrade to win 8, win 7 working fine and stable, good for another few years yet, if it ain't broke...
