Bapu is good people. As is Beagle. And pretty much everyone else here. I'm sorry, but if a few jokes are lame, or some bits go on a little long like a latter day SNL catchphrase, or some puns are forced, I just don't see it as the end of the world. Not all of them are bad and some are in fact quite precious, IMHO. I guess I apparently have a rare ability to just not read threads that don't interest me. And I still really don't see the harm. And I have seen no shortage of implicit and explicit attacks on people from the self righteous here over the last couple days. People have gone well beyond the friendly, "hey can we tone it down a bit" that they want to pretend. But having said all of that, and as I mentioned in the other thread - holding grudges and letting things spill over everywhere else is not helpful or productive.
In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

Nope. It's me. I've retired the "old" bapu. I've asked Willy to disable, delete, ban or do whatever he wants with the old account. To be clear, I'm not mad, upset or anything like that. Just decided it's time to finally prove that post count matters not to me. It seems that many did not believe it, so I decided to prove it with actions rather than words. If I'm not a man of my word, than what's the point. So, I'm scaling back. No PMs. No profile. No signature. No goofy avatars. Those that have my email know how to get a hold of me if need be or want to. Thanks to all of you. I'll be around.

This isn't "the wrestler gimmick" is it? You know where you go from being the "good" guy to the evil, yelling, fist waving "bad" guy. You start pulling guys hair and hitting them with folding chairs and parading around the arena grunting and throwing your arms in the air. You're not going to start that sort of nonsense are you? Although that might be tres cool now that I think about it.

Bub Jonbouy Bapu hasn't been 'slammed' he's got off lightly as have many of us. Your wrong on this one Jon. He most definitely got slammed. Not going to go back and forth with, but you're wrong. Period. No, I am I can see that now I've been away the last couple of days and hadn't seen all the other stuff 'til just now. I'm wrong indeed. Yup even when I last checked in I said he'd taken a bad rap, but slammed I didn't see until going through all the freds threads...

Just want The Bapu (ITYRN) and everyone else to know that they are always welcome in any threads of mine here. And that you are all free to post however you see fit there - provided you don't disparage each other, becan, or anything else that is sacred. You can always disparage me personally, of course, as I'm not particularly sacred. Cheers!

"stuff"..... People are every where and it would easier if we didn't have to deal with people because they sure complicate things. I am not jumping for joy that my friend was "attacked" when if you search the forums you can't find one from him. Anyway... I hope the Bapu that talks about becan, The a minor chord, Posts not counting, is the one Bapu that I pick up from the Airport On august 24 to stand up at my wedding on august 25.... Because I don't know anyone else on the forum who only meets a person one time outside a forum, sends Christmas and thank you gifts, has given life lesson advice over phone conversations, and is will ing to spend his own money to stand up at a wedding for a Dodo he's only met in person once. I am picking out songs in the key of A minor - and listening to them for the rest of the week as my old bapu tribute and at my wedding -- after I have the first dance with my wife - I am gonna ask bapu to slow dance with me to the continuous strumming of a a minor chord - Video tape it and post it i this forum as my rebellious counter attack!! You'll see!!!

The Kiosk Project Wonder where he Am right now? It's really not funny now. It's actually quite offensive. Please don't do the Am or Ja thing anymore. Since we're all so free to tell people what to do in this forum, please do this for me. And 'The Bapu', if it's really you, sorry, it's not working for me. Please change back to the person that made me and a lot of others happy, the real you. I would have PM'd you, but you've really put up a wall, and that's not the person I grew to have a lot of respect for here. This sucks now ... just being honest.

The main reason I started visiting the CH is because of the overall "vibe', humor, various interesting personalities, and not so serious topics that were going in here. In fact, this is the 1st place I visit when getting online. It's the humerous personalities, openess, and overall positive nature of the CH that Bapu, Beagle, Bubba etc...(too many wonderful people here to mention) that make up this CH. It never really bothered me that the AM's, Ya's, Becan talk, post count and so on to the level where it made an impact on me. On the contrary, I welcomed it as part of the personality of the poster. Even if it was said on a serious fred, it never did affect nor alter my mood as this is an open forum and the intentions are good in nature. Actually, I've see Beagle wanting to have a serious answer in a thread and stated "serious" in the original post in which everyone respected his wishes. So, if someone wanted to have a serious discussion, it's quite simple. It seems to me that if Bapu, Beagle, and the rest of the people have to change their "CH personality" due to a few complainers, then the whole environment here becomes unnatural, uptight, and unpleasant to visit.....if I wanted that, there's plenty of other forums that provide this in abundance. If Bapu can't be "unfunny" and Beagle has changed to only posting music news items, obviously these are not the same people that actually make up the CH an interesting place it used to be. It's like forcing a person who can only be serious, to be funny. I don't see any good in these changes. The spontaneous humor that was naturally brought out are more than often, priceless, and if this is being taken away from here........then it's really no point in visiting the CH as it will be just another forum. I also think it's wrong that Bapu & Beagle have had to change in a drastic way, just to accomodate a few complaints. These are 2 of the few good guys that definitely don't deserve the treatment that's being given. With time, I hope whatever this "doom on you" thing is will eventually evaporate and we can all come here to enjoy one another in our natural state.

All anybody asked for was to balance fun with a little bit of respect. To consider that these forums are here for all people to enjoy, not just a few. Is this really so hard? The angst caused by this is a little over the top.

yorolpal That video is sure to go viral. At least in the CH. Can't wait. It will be viral the minute Mooch prepares it, whether it gets released or not. Just sayin... Mooch wash yer hands before doing any video editing. HTH

To whom it may concern (i.e. my CH friends): A lesson I once learned is that if one person points out something it may be nothing. If two point it out, it may be something. If three or more point it out, it is either something or it's just the bandwagon filling up on inertia. I'll make no judgement on what it is (since I truly don't know) but more than three have suggested that I "dial it back", the place has no breathing room, inane chatter etc. Whether they are right or wrong is of no concern to me until I can take a step back and do my own searching and fearless inventory (a 12 step process I use). It would be disingenuous of me to ignore the message and carry on as usual while attempting to do that inventory. Thanks again to all of you (no matter what "side" you're on).

The angst caused by this is a little over the top. You really don't have clue as to what just happened do ya son? Not a single solitary clue. I feel for ya ol pal. I honestly do. Go on with your bad self.
