I turn 65 in just over a month.  That part sucks.  What doesn't suck is that I will comfortably retire (and have beau coup time to devote to my musical toys) in 73 weeks and 2 days ... not that I'm counting or anything.

There is really a whole lot of new Tech buzz in September.
Roland, Korg, Apple anyone, and who knows what else by the time we get through.
An exciting start to Q3

Webinar info.  I am sure some of you will be posting comments about the webinar, but just in case, please do so.  Not sure I will be available at the time and I am interested in this webinar and the "special announcement".  So please post regarding the details, features and nuances of X2 and the webinar.

Concerning age...My music and lyrical writing are so much better now than when I was in my teens and early twenties. Plus I couldn't do what I am doing now on my own with the technology available back then...My music sounds waaaay more like I want it to sound now and is "affordable"!;-)

Just turned 30 myself; never really have been freaked out by growing old. I had a pretty crazy 20'ies so maybe that's why?!?

Not quite sure what this thread is all about anymore - I really like you guys - in fact, I'm not even sure what it was all about in the first place .

Anyway, could someone be so kind and tell me how long time there is to the webinar? I'm asking for the hours and minutes from the time you post. Please leave out everything about pm, edt, timezones, summertime and all that, because my brains are not build to understand those things

How did I get here so quickly?

-----------------------------

Gotta leave soon, so cannot watch in real time.

So, I will record it using a trusty VCR.  A laptop is connected to a DVD/VCR which is routed to all the TVs in the house. Makes it easy to "watch" a program and do what needs to be done.

Well at least this time I don't have to calculate the time.

Just in case people want to know I agree with everything said on this thread.
The only thing that concerns me is I had no idea there were so many "old" people on this forum. I thought I was the only one.

My only comment is youth is wasted on the young.

Best

I've been away a while (I have a bad habit of only poking my head up around release time, and this has been a particularly busy year) but since we're talking about it... I'll be 42 next month, not "old" per se but starting to creak a bit here and there, still no signs of growing up and getting a real job (I seem to make enough making and playing music every year to avoid the issue) and definitely still excited about a new Sonar. I've made a lot of music with X1, it's been pretty good to me all around, so seeing the next step in Sonar's evolution is a pivotal moment. John, I generally shared your enthusiasm early on and am also glad it's been largely borne out. Onwards and upwards!
