Renew monthly subscription: How?

I wanted to purchase the $99 renewal for Sonar Platinum, but since pay day was only today, I missed it so I have to settle for doing the monthly payments again.

I see there's options for renewing the annual payments....but where's the option for renewing the monthly payments?

Monthly billing continues until explicitly cancelled. No need to renew.

That's the thing. I cancelled in January after I made my 12th consecutive payment. Now I want to start it back up again.

OK, click the "Buy Now" button for the Monthly Payment plan at the Cakewalk store. I see the option on the main store page.

    Cool.

This wouldn't give a new serial number or anything, would it? I'd basically be picking up where I left off? I apologize if this has been asked before. I've been out of the loop for past 2 months.

I am not sure if it will assign a new serial number but it should be smart enough to know this is a renewal based on your current account info and status. Would a new serial number matter?

Well, it would sort of matter. This is because I still have Sonar Platinum installed. The last update I got was, I think, Lexington. That's when I cancelled. If I were to get a new serial number, wouldn't that screw up some stuff with my account and current installation? This is where my confusion is coming from.

I do not believe it is a problem but don't take my word for it. When in doubt contact Cakewalk directly.

But why is it after 12 months still the same amount? Should the price not automatically go down to a renewal pricing?

After 12 months it should automatically go down, that should be clarified with CW (probably they will ask to contact Cleverbridge). Canceling the membership and "restart" it again in this case can trigger more problems.

OP case is a bit different. 2 month gap means that technically speaking 12 month starts from scratch again, so while you can keep using previous version (assuming the system knows you have payed 12 times), in case you pay next let say 4 months and then cancel you will not be able to keep the latest version. But CW are normally friendly, ask them for the best way to proceed.
