Axon is an incredible little sequencer.  However, I can not get it to trigger external midi hardware with sonar x2.  If you use axon, can you give me step by step instructions please?

Thanks

Hey Joe:  Here are four threads I googled for you (Axon + midi guitar + Sonar).  The first has one of Cakewalk's own guru's Noel commenting (in post #18) about the problem with triggering vsts outside of these midi guitar internal synths.  Take a look through these and see what they can offer to help.  I have two axons and a Roland GI20, but am not in my studio where they are right now.  If these links below do not help, post back and let us know how you are doing.

I will add that you will need to be specific as to which Axon you have.  The Axon 50 has the direct connection via usb into your computer; the Axon 100mkii needs uses old style midi cables and so you will need to have a midi interface between it and Sonar.  I use the Cakewalk UM-3g with it.  http://www.rolandus.com/products/details/1093 .

The third of the follow articles also has reference to using the deglyth feature to help clean up artifacts.  Hope these help get you started.  Do post back and give some details of your version and how you have it connected.

Also.  It might help if you post your request in the Sonar X2 forum where there are several member who use midi guitars and the various interfaces like Axon.  There are more users up their in that forum and you stand a better chance of getting more replies.

Thanks for the reply.  However, I am not talking about Axon, the midi guitar but Axon, the soft synth from Audio Damage.  I guess I should have posted that in the body of the message in addition to the title as it can be confusing.

Anyway, if anyone knows how to make one soft synth track trigger snore, I would really appreciate knowing.

Thanks

Joe

I have just resolved a similar problem using Cthulhu  chord generator to trigger another soft synth - I assume yours would be a similar problem. Check out this thread that explains the steps taken to resolve the problem.
