I was given the name Wood while working as a young tape op.  Punching in/out on the Studer remote unit led to a few clips on the vocals (lesson 1: never punch on short consonants...).  This lead the singer (Strummy knows who it was but I'll get busted for name dropping if I blab) stated that 'you can't get the wood these days', and the producer picked it up.

67 was just my year.  It was also the year the town of Milton Keynes was born - a place I've never lived in but used to race to/from at 2am with no lights on the car when I was at Uni.

I "grew up" in Texas.  Bubba is a common appellation for southern good ole boys.  When I was 12, my family fled to the Pacific Northwest.  I caught up about a week later.  In time, I travelled all over.  No matter where I went, I encountered "Bubbas".  They weren't necessarily southern, nor did they think of themselves as a Bubba, but the title seemed to fit.  You can find Bubba-like behavio(u)r anywhere if you look hard enough.  Eventually, I realized that "Bubba" is everywhere.

It also amused me to think of a Bubba using the word Ubiquitous to describe himself.

My first name and my ham radio call sign as some have guessed. I use a variation of that on a couple of other sites. Boy am I glad I don't have to change my call sign if I upgrade my license class or I move to another call sign area.

My intention was not to put my real name as the forum name, but I got tricked by the software.
They call the forum name differently in different forum softwares, and you can't always know when you're choosing the forum name you can't change.
I meant to use something related to my avatar, which is a crow hatching and idea-egg, and singing (as we here say crows sing) "kra-a", which are my initials.

My usual nickname is Kalmo, which means a corpse.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

At the risk of boring y'all to death, julibee is what my dad calls me. That's a short "I" sound, not a long one. Ju-lih-bee. I suppose it was his way of shortening Julianna B... Couldve been worse. One of my Uncles used to call me "Juice". I have no idea why. My husband sometimes calls me "Beans". Again, no idea why. he doesn't know, either. I've asked him. I'm mostly "J", "Jules" or in one instance "Jewl" (her spelling) by my friends. Although, my favorite nickname was always my grandmother's Julibelle. None of which are especially creative. I've always found that a little sad that I love to make up awesome nicknames for people, and yet have nothing shagadelic to call my own. Heck, getting people to say all four syllables of my actual name is hard enough. I never ever hear it. Weird.

Sweet! You'll have to post a pic sometime. I was heavily in to HO scale but moved and didn't have the space for it anymore. Then by the time I owned my own home and now have the space, everything cost so much I couldn't get back in to it. It's amazing how much track alone has gone up over the last 15 years.
