That spanned the period from December 22 through March 3, which does not take into account the significant success of the 2016 guitars from the USA and Memphis divisions, as well as several other successes that started in late Q1 and continue. Look at MI SalesTrack for March. It's copyrighted info so I can't give specifics, but suffice it to say I wouldn't reference it if it didn't support what I'm saying, and then some (for example also look at how KRK is doing these days - not just the guitars).
Good points but there is still a bit of ground to pick up since the previous reduction to B3 in December. It's also not uncommon for a company to focus on strengthening the products that are already doing well and drop what it considers to be dead weight. KRK and Stanton are doing well (probably even better after they get rolling with the newly acquired Deckadance). I still miss my Opcode 64x. Definitely interested in how June 1st is going to play out. Hopefully, Woo can shake things up. :)

I'm still getting them too. Go to your account and find your membership details. It should say this: "Membership valid through ∞"
It does show infinity but this is so much in the air I need to see it post june 1st, greetings from the UK.

lfm I think Gibson is buying Softube and will incorporate Console 1 fully into Sonar prochannel...would be a good move. That kind of hardware to directly position on any track really quick, and get your work done what you had in mind for that track. And since hardware is so simple and idea is so brilliant it will be industry standard. You don't need 24-32 motorized faders, it's just expensive.
I'm looking at console 1 for quite a while... I for sure would be very happy if you're right!

One thing i am confused about is how is my price £176.14? ($199 = £136 + 20% vat = £163.20) minus 5 months ive paid already £11.89 x5 = £59.45 , (£163.20 - £59.45 = £103.75) Shouldn't £103.75 be the price?

Very clear statement. Thanks for explanation. I only wonder are you aware, Cakewalk announcement promised special price till 31th March, info still could be read here: http://www.cakewalk.com/P...-at-the-2016-NAMM-Showbut in fact promo was finished with end of February. I could observe kind of equivalent promised price (in my currency+VAT) during January and February in Cakewalk shop but with beginning of March I got regular price... So it was finished whole month earlier :-/

Not to sound like a eager child at Christmas here (well, okay to EXACTLY sound like that) but: Why do we need to wait until June 1st? :-) I mean, for the next 8 days we're just gonna run around in circles throwing weird ideas out there. The early-bird lifetime thing is already in motion...just dump that press release early yo!

I just signed up for the lifetime Sonar. I thought that it is a good deal but YMMV. As far as all of the rumors about what is gonna happen I got the facts right from the horses mouth. Mr Ed says Cakewalk is dropping Sonar after this year and porting everything over to Atari
The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better. I had the Amiga 500 running KCS (keyboard Controlled sequencer) and a rack full of hardware synths and samplers. I had the SMPTE box so I could sync my Teac 4 track to KCS and get 3 tracks for vocals and guitar. I'm really happy about the lifetime update deal. I jumped on it. I think the lifetime update is way better than my Amiga and rack of hardware synths.

Morvejones One thing i am confused about is how is my price £176.14? ($199 = £136 + 20% vat = £163.20) minus 5 months ive paid already £11.89 x5 = £59.45 , (£163.20 - £59.45 = £103.75) Shouldn't £103.75 be the price?
What makes you think you should be able to deduct the 5 months you already paid ?! There has not been a single mention about being able to do that. Wouldn't make that much sense either since almost everyone will already have paid until some date in the future and so you expect everyone would still get some discount on an already discounted price. Pricing is really very simple: * You have paid for 1 year Platinum + you have renewed for 1 year Platinum : your lifetime offer is $99 (or the EUR or GBP equivalent + VAT). * You have paid for 1 year Platinum, but no renewal yet : your lifetime offer is $199 (or the EUR or GBP equivalent + VAT).

oh no..he is right, but his math is wrong.. since its sonar LIFETIME, its not months until your current subscription expires, its month until you die.. so he is probably due $0.004 refunded, lost in the rounding.. me, on the other hand, expected to see the lifetime membership to be more like $3.27 ..... :d

Well he was reasoning about months for which he paid twice, but you probably knew that since you're joking. E.g. if your subscription still lasts till August, and you pay for lifetime now, you would have paid twice for June, July and August. But that's just how it goes. You cannot expect Cakewalk to start individually doing a pro rata refund. EDIT: actually despite joking, you have a point a well :). You could also argue that Cakewalk would refund pro rata from the lifetime price instead of from the previously made 1 year subscription :)

Well, even if it's your own lifetime, they are not lying. They are not making any claims about how many and for how long they will keep making updates. When they stop making updates, still "you will receive every new core feature, enhancement, and even fixes for all future versions of SONAR".

Just out of curiosity. How do you see a difference between a membership and a subscription ? I know how SPlat works, and just thinks you can call it either. Also out of curiosity and totally off-topic: what is this 'bakers' reference that I see popping up now and again ?
