Yup it was Apr in the evening.
Heres an article on it
If you were by the Ravens base chances are they were launched out from Lakenheath with the rest of the 111's.  Who knows

you need to eat in a pub. Pub grub is where it's at.
As an American, I can vouch for that. Cant beat the outa the way pub grub.  Loved it when I Lived There-GOOD STUFF.

Where did you live Mike?
I was USAF but lived in Mildenhall, Lakenheath, Bentwaters with loads of time all over the place. Pretty much stayed in London but did venture out occasionally to other areas. Hard to remember the other places-that was 30 years ago. LOL

Shame you're not here now, you could pop round for a cup of English tea and a look at a Fanboi's set up.  I live about 10 miles from Lakenheath. Not that I was here 30 years ago, I was doing my own bit for Queen and country then. I sort of ended up here by accident and a strange sequence of postings. Very nice it is too though.

Yeh that'd be nice to check it out.
I was there from '84-'87, Kinda miss the old Bird-in-Hand Pub between Mildenhall and Lakenheath.  When I was there it was more or less a Barn with carpet in it and live bands on Fridays.  Came back in '92 or '93 and it was all redone to a new Bar.

No kidding.  Now the time is that age is setting in and getting to hard to play so we venture over to recording instead LOL
Gonna see if I cant find a pic of us at the Studio to see if you recognize it or the guy that ran it.

The best Salmon I ever ate was in Edinburgh.  And I can't get Fish 'n Chips in the USA that tastes like what I had in Dorset.

Daryl, I wonder if it's just all in the mind, but the old codpiece & chips always seems to taste better at the seaside.

Aye, the Kettle o' Fish.  It's still the best place for miles.

Not cheap but good.

We had a sit down in the parlour there when Karyn visited, dead posh....
