Shoesorder.com is registered in Houston, TX.

IIRC 85% of spam is of American origin, sorry to say.

It's not even the weekend (Sat night..when usually the spam comes and stays..for too long) It's Wed.. CW doesn't read here too often..it shows

Yep! It looks as if this thread will be getting a lot of use. Sad but true.

Speaking of banning where is Robocop when you need him?

I have to admit, I'm proud of Jinga. Two spam posts this morning and no ball bustin from him. Must have been driving him nuts to not respond . Maby he wasn't online yet but I always thought he had some kind of "spam detector" that alerts him when there's spam (kind of like Garrigus when his book is mentioned ).

Say it ain't so please.... man, not us.... oh the humanity! Another thing we give to the world.

There are places where I would like to have this stuff sent but it would not be very PC of me to say where.

NIA are you there?

I'm sorry, I had my numbers crossed, it used to be more but is currently at 40% of global spam, with China distant second at less than 20 percent. 85% of all e-mail apparently is spam, though. That's sad but true.

Believe me, I saw them. I am trying my best. Lots of deep breathing and playing chess games in my head. I don't know how long it'll continue, but so far so good. I also put my therapist on 24hour call in case of a relapse...

Just did some deleting and banning....and man it feels good. Sorry you guys have to be subjected to this at times, but as you know it's the world we live in. In my not so humble opinion, these sorts of spammers should be viewed with the same sort of disdain we usually reserve for violent criminals - in the 1300's that is. I'm thinking tar, feathers, nasty spikes - that sort of thing. Is there anyone here who wouldn't gladly take a swing at one if given the chance in person? Sometimes I'm shocked at the level of my own hatred for these vultures, but they really are the ruiners of all things good.

I agree that the best policy for you forumites is to ignore the posts when they show up and rest assured they will be deleted with extreme prejudice as soon as they are detected.

LOL - my pleasure John - thanks. It's always nice when someone actually appreciates your own venom n' bile inspired rantings (as opposed to the more common - frightened and/or offended)

We all know that spam is the bane of the Internet. In this day and age it may have profound implications to all of us. I touched on my thoughts on it in other posts. But here I feel humbled by this forum. The self control shown the remarkable universal restraint shown is only indicative of the high quality of the membership. I stand in awe of them all.
You the members are the ones that did this not me.

Thank you John for posting this and thank you guys all the "bumps". I've been thinking of this for a while now.

At worst, if anyone really feel the urge to post a wise crack when those threads hit the board, why not just post it here in this thread, and turn it into our "10 000 ways to reply to spammers - Cakewalk users' Greatest Hits". At least, it'd also serve the purpose of keeping THIS thread in view.
