Thats not it I hope you do see what I did. The guy left all his contact information. I didn't want that to be erased. If CW wants to do anything they now have it all. And it was Cj that first posted there. Best John

OK now let that thread die a quick and decisive death. I would say painful too but that might take time. Not this one mind you! Though it would be nice if this one weren't necessary. Best John P.S. All replies to the other thread should be posted here if you would all be so kind. Thanks!

Why cakewalk do not ask for a valid serial number to get a forum account ? This way, no spam. That's the way steinberg do for cubase and it seems to work great !

Why cakewalk do not ask for a valid serial number to get a forum account ? This way, no spam. That's the way steinberg do for cubase and it seems to work great ! Yes and no. This is an open forum and I like it that way for the most part. We hadn't had much spam in the past. What this forum allows is for non users to ask questions that they would not be able to if they had to first buy the product. It is a way for those wanting to try Sonar to get a bit of help first. Even if they have the demo that would not let them get on this forum. Now I used to be on the Cubase forum and it was a bit wild there before they required not just a serial number but your dongle number. I have a dongle that is plugged in and I don't want to have to deal with that What I mean is if you don't post there for a while then you have to re-register again dongle and all. Its a royal PITA. I stopped going there for that reason. If you breeze by there check it out it is dead. Best John

I have no interest in calling anyone out but... 2 replies when you preach about never replying... Of course I only feel betrayed in the "some guy on the forum I frequent did something he said he wouldn't do" sense, so its really not such a big deal. But you are the one who started this thread, and I followed its edict out of both the belief in its message and my respect for its founder. Anyway, of course I am mostly kidding, so don't read TOO much into it... I guess I just feel that I've put so much effort into not responding at all over the last month or so... It was SOOO FREAKING HARD!!! I really understand you here. That was why I made it a point to make clear why I did what I did. Yes I wont read too much into this but I know how you feel how supportive you have been I really did not want to let you down. I mean that. I knew when I posted there it would impact my credibility. I thought that was less important then getting the spammers number. It may turn out to be a wasted effort but I had to do it. I just hope that you understand what I was doing and that it was worth it in this case only. I have never seen a spamer tell us so much about himself. I could not pass up the opportunity to make sure he could not retract it. Jinga your support is very important to me. Best John

Can you please use that in a sentence... Sure... " Symposium is the word today." Or perhaps, "I think that is great." Or perhaps, "Yes I can."
