Counting Coup Hi Markus. If you have multiple clips in a track and, say, you are zoomed in and want to select all those clips to the end (or start) without having to zoom out, you need to know they have been selected. What I'm finding is the since the upgrade to X2a, these clips are frequently not being selected as they should by the shortcuts I've been using to date and was hoping someone would test that for me. It feels like a bug from where I'm sitting. Cheers David HI David I have been looking through all the shortcuts and I can't seem to find the combination you mention. Here take a look. http://www.cakewalk.com/D...182.html#1307140 So my guess is you are talking about a key binding or and older feature that has been replaced by a new process. When it comes to selecting multiple clips I just use the Lasso Feature it seems easier to me then using a key board shortcut. Out of curiosity I did try those keyboard commands but I could not get it to work either. I really don't know enough about this feature to comment about it. It may be a bug if it worked in X1. I never used it. what I normally do with clips is found in the video below. Sorry I am not much help. http://www.youtube.com/wa...dded&v=gZA0S7eRSWw

I've just tried out a few IK T-Racks Singles, they all seem fine. Have you downloaded IK's Custom Shop? There is an option in the interface which allows you to "Restore My Gear" If you haven't done so already, try it.

Any other Automap users? It looks like the X2a change for plugin names means they don't display the (Automap) on the wrapped ones, so I have two listed with the same name for each one and have to guess which is which. And yes I did reset the plugins and rescan. It does shoe (32 bit) for bridged plugins. X2a Producer x64.

mleghorn Funkybot They still haven't fixed the stolen Keystrokes from U-He plugins when saving presets. Worked in 8.5, upgraded to X2, and suddenly I'm unable to give presets in DIVA any kind of reasonable name. Was really hoping that would have been fixed, or do the Cakewalk staffers just not use DIVA or any of the other U-he synths? Or perhaps they just don't roll their own presets. I have the problem too, as I use a lot of U-He plugins. Fortunately, however, the U-He plugins store all the presets as files in a presets folder. You can go do the folder and rename the presets there. And it's not just u-he, and not just preset saving in u-he. Running DDMF or MeldaProduction effects, and propably a lot more, if I try to type into any of the data fields, the keystrokse go to SONAR. Interestingly, if the plugin is wrapped by Automap, SONAR doesn't get the keystrokes, but neither does the plugin. If I use jBridge instead of BitBridge, the data entry in the plugin works properly, but SONAR needs to be started as adminsitrator, and Automap wrapping doesn't seem to work. It's kind of pick what one feature you want to work, and live without the rest. Seems to have been that way since X1, so I don't guess they consider it worth fixing.

kday You can't open old projects and expect them to work right in updates. You have to start totally new and record a new project from scratch to accurately test X2a update. For me, that isn't the case. In most occasions Sonar has opened up old stuff and it has always worked for me. In fact I have switched versions in the midst of huge projects without a hitch. On this issue the guys at Cakewalk have my utmost respect...it's amazing actually.

jgarland Problems here. Installed X2a and it would not load Drumagog 4.11, said it couldn't find a file named "C:\Program Files (x86)\Drumagog40\Favorites.dat". I found the file in a different location and moved it to where Sonar was looking for it. This time Drumagog was recognized but had defaulted to Demo mode. I Re-installed Drumagog and re-activated it but it still showed up in Sonar as in Demo mode. I tried another install and activation and got the same results. Also two IK multimedia plugs, CSR Hall reverb & Sampletank 2, were disabled by Sonar. I re-enabled CSR but the instant it loaded up Sonar crashed. Gave up and restored the computer image I made before X2a was installed. All plugs then worked perfectly. Very disappointed. SOLVED !!!! I did not have Sonar set to launch with Administrator privileges. Once I set this for both 32 & 64 bit, and then re-installed the X2a update, all is working perfectly. the darndest thing is, I KNOW that running without admin privileges can cause problems with vst's. Must have been a brain fart. Happy camper here

So I am apparently the odd one. I downloaded the 2a patch and installed it. I then opened X2 and opened a project I had been working on just before doing the update. The Transport controls were balky, it would take two or three mouse clicks to start the playback. No audio output. The MIDI instrument tracks would show activity on the meters but no audio was output. The audio tracks showed no activity at all on the meters, even though the waveforms were in the tracks. I checked the preferences and they were all the same as before the update. I tried another project, same results. I closed X2 and reopened as administrator - same results. As I needed to finish some work on the current project, I did a system restore to before the update. Afterwards everything worked as it should, or at least as I expected. Most here seem quite pleased with the patch. I suspect that I am overlooking something simple, but I am a bit reluctant to reinstall the update until I have some notion of what that might be. Any suggestions are appreciated. Gateway DX Windows 7 Home Premium Intel Core i7 2600 6GB RAM Akai EIE Pro Interface

RonCaird I initially got no audio output. To fix, I clicked P for preferences, Driver Settings, and set the Playback Timing master to one of my audio output channels on my interface.
StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen. I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

I also had to re-enter the registration code for Dimension Pro. Apparently there may have been some sort of update to it? Didn't see that in the documentation. I may have overlooked it. No problems so far with the IK plug-ins, including SampleTank 2.x and Miroslav. Heck, even my old Korg Polysix and MS-20 plugins work just fine. Still having issues when running multiple plugins that loading a setting into one plugin using the "Program Handling" file dialog affects the directory into which any other plugin searches for preferences. So, if I load Dimension and then open the preferences for ProChannel, I find that going back to open a setting in Dimension drops me into the folder into which the ProChannel prefs were stored. This can be avoided by simply using the "Program Browser," but can cause issues when loading needs to happen the other way. This has existed for a while, I believe. As far as the Staff View, it's true. There are no graphic note representations in the editor that I can find. All notes are selected from a drop down interface with names like "Whole", "1/2 Dotted," "1/4 note," etc. Before these could be selected by clicking on the corner of the drop down menu. Now they can only be selected by right-clicking? Is that correct? That takes something that was already difficult, at best, and makes it even worse.
