Yup, I responded. This is the second survey that Cake has sent out in the past few years that I have been using the product. I thought the questions were good and am still advocating VST3 support as a high priority support item...well that and getting the whole take lanes figured out.

I think the comments at the end may be helpful.. companies love accepting surveys etc. *BUT* whether they bother to listen is a different matter... as a props customer also, they might as well not bother with a "features suggestion" bit of their forum. each company has a different upgrade / EULA setup also , so that's tricky also. I'm getting fed up of companies generally just doing enough to part us from our money.. or that's how it seems at times.. I'm holding out more for grace period updates now as a result

I don't get emails from Cakewalk anymore. I have no idea what's going on unless I visit this forum. I might have used my old email address when they used to send me stuff. Anyone know how I can update?

If you own Producer, there is a link to the survey in your store account (at least I just noticed a link in my account). In order to get your email fixed up you probably need to work with Cakewalk directly. The one time I noticed an email issue, I sent Andrew a PM and he took care of it.

Ha ! Count on scook to keep us up to date. You're more reliable than the mailing list Tomorrow I fill out the survey.

I never received a survey from Cakewalk. [EDIT] Found it with a very deliberate search. Why couldn't that come in an email? I would have totally missed the survey otherwise. That's not very effective.

Cakewalk should email the surveys, not put them in the store. I didn't know to even look there until I read about it on this forum.

They did email the survey notice twice. If you are receiving the newsletter and use X2 Producer you should have received the email. If you are not receiving the newsletter or failed to receive the survey notice by email (and use X2 Producer) and want the email, that can only be resolved by directly contacting Cakewalk.

Interesting. I do receive emails almost every week from Sonar regarding updates, crash reports, support updates, sales, and such. Never received one telling me about the survey. I just went back through all of my emails from Cakewalk over the last 2 years. No surveys. I'm an X1/X2 Producer Owner, and registered these products.

Sidenote: It takes Cakewalk a LOOOOOOOOOONG time to evaluate a crash report (or rather, to respond). I've gone for months from reporting a bug to when I receive an update from Cakewalk regarding the bug report. Half the time I have no idea what bug I was reporting it had been so long. My perception is that Cakewalk is dangerously under-staffed, or these guys are overwhelmed with issues, new features, testing, or conversions to re-vamp the code. As a customer, though, my perception IS, Cakewalk Development is totally under-staffed.
