First Impressions X1C - All good here at this stage.
I've been ruinning X1 for over an hour now without a white out or screen lock or this program has become unresponsive message. This is a first since I bought X1 in dec 2010. This promises to be a worthwhile update at this very early stage of checking it out.. No Control bar disappearing as yet ProChannel persists in its on/off state. that's just my very earliest impressions. It's gone 4 am here on East Coast of Australia and I'm off to bed now. Looking forward to here how others fare with this new update. I reckon if it's making X1 work for me there shouldn't be anyone who can't get it to work. Unless of course by some irony of the universe it breaks X1 for everyone else. i'm just kidding. All good here so far.

I'm almost onboard, after I back a few things up just in case my system happens to be one in 1000 to disagree with it.

Much still to find out but now that it continues to run I'll be able to work out what's under the bonnet (hood). still running after 2 hours. I was going to go to bed but who cares. It's nearly time to get up anyway.

Chregg Independent Snap settings in the Piano Roll view The Piano Roll view now has independent snap settings that can be used to override the global snap value. still the same for me !! I am assuming you are saying it is not working for you? If so, did you find the settings yet for PRV snap, and have you set them? 1: Open the PRV 2: On the upper right side is your snap settings. Click on it and the options will slide out. 3: Set them, and they should hold. I think if you don't set this (leave it collapsed) it takes on the global settings. I am not saying they work as I have not had a chance to try it yet. But that is where it is.

Snap settings working great for me. It's hidden by default, but of you click on the little grid icon at the upper right of the Piano Roll view, you get the snap settings. Note length is still in the Control Bar / HUD, but now has a "Last selected" option.

Snap settings does not equal draw settings. Your snap settings adjust where the notes get placed, not the length of them. Your draw setting have always been independent and are found in the Control Bar / or HUD. As John points out above, this now has a "Last Selected" option.

Knowing how potentially important X1C was going to be for some of us I couldn't imagine starting a prank thread about it not only being available but it being good too.

Yep, that's per-project. Intuitively seems like it should be global to me, but easy to add to a template.
