Making Meter/Key Signature Dialog was fun ;-)



Tempo control is now in ape's hands:

Clone Track(s) Dialog is redesigned but usability is not ruined by background bitmap. I wanted to move 'Clone' area to the top because it contains the data I always look at first. Selected tracks information is quite useless because you certainly remember your last selection. I never read them.




Tweaked context menu in the Track View to make it look less cluttered (and some key shortcuts are now more logical and similar to Bus area context menu and Console View:



Preferences page utilizes modern display resolutions. Wallpaper section shows now the Default Wallpaper thumbnail. Warning of needed restart is changed and there's a new X1 icon added. 'Save changes for next session' is moved and renamed.


Project Files dialog uses now more screen estate.



Key Bindings are easier to manage in a bigger listbox (it may get bigger because the Preferences page is now larger than the used area in this tab):

Track Manager, original:




Dystopia's Track Manager Dialog gives more screen estate (both width and height) for track names.
Now it's easier to manage large projects that contain dozens of tracks.




Process / Gain Dialog, orignal:


Dystopia's Gain Dialog
- percent values removed (they're read only and make the dialog too messy)
- Left and Right headers replaced with colorful bitmap
- Phase switches moved to the top
- Phase switch icon is taken from Channel Tools
- Dialog size could not be altered because of the method SONAR handles it.

My upcoming Dystopia Mod is still quick & dirty and inconsistent but if you're interested...

New layout just for fun. I have never used SONAR's Audio CD Import.
If you use it, try CDex instead. It's free and it's much more sophisticated.





Normalize dialog used to have a slider. I removed it.
There was a percent value textbox. I removed it, too, because it was read only. 






Minor tweaks - db and ms texts moed after textboxes and some hotkeys reassigned.

I decided to split menu optimizations to a separate bundle which means they can be applied to any existing mod.
There's still quite a lot of work to do and I can't promise any release date yet.  I bet before X1c...

Meat Menu beta version is now available for download.
Surf to www.sonarmods.com -> Download section. Open pulldown menu 'X1'and you'll see 'Meat Menu' in the middle of the list.

Meat menu is my first attempt to redesign SONAR pulldown and context menus and dialog windows. Many SONAR dialog windows are 5-10 years old. Back in those days the common display resolution was 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 pixels. Now we have FullHD or bigger displays but some critical dialogs do not utilize the new screen estate.
Meat Menu introduces bigger dialogs, new design and style, menu customizations and more.   Few dialogs include elements from my personal 'Planet of the Apes' mod (not yet ready for the public). Those will be cleaned in version 1.0.

This mod is available for English language only because it's not language neutral. However, it IS possible to install English Meat Menu over international SONAR version but the result will be mixed language interface. Ask for the patcher if you're interested.

You can append Meat Menu to your current mod! Meat Menu does not touch Control Bar, Track View, Console View etc. graphics.

Checkboxes are converted to pushbutton style in many dialogs. Some graphics added here and there, too...



I made a custom Show pulldown menu. It is similar to the standard View menu but still different.


Preferences window has got a new look.


Final note: Meat Menu requires at least 1024 vertical pixels to work properly. Do not try to use it if you have 800 x 600 or similar screen resolution.

Just a warning: this mod is not yet tested and in worst case it could crash X1 (happened to me earlier today already but I fixed it). Do not install it if you have a strict deadline or paying customers are present in the mixing room!

So far I have tested Meat Menu in Windows 7 x64 only.

Go to sonarmods.com forum and you'll find the download link easily. Sign in needed, I don't spread new mods for guests anymore.

Tonight I had some time to examine things that X1c broke in mods.  Control Bar / Snap module graphics is broken. New updates include fix to this. Step Sequencer includes new graphics that need to be harmonized.

Darkside 2.00 is almost ready.
Orfeus, Yellowstone and Reindeer are next in the queue.

I love you man! (in a non-gay way of course!) Thank you and Ben for all you've done to make X1 so much better for us...and thanks to the Bakers for allowing it. I also think it's great that you went above and beyond the call of duty to tell people not to ask for support while using the mods. Thank you all for everything...those that created and those that allowed. :)

Well I wont go that far but I for one do totally love all the great things you and Ben have done for us.  Its magic from my perspective.
