I'm running SONAR 8.5.1 x64 in VISTA Ultimate x64 SP2 with KONTAKT 4.02.

I can't dupliccate your problem.

Instruments reload fine and it doesn't matter whether its 44., 48 or 96khz.

Could it be a Win 7 problem??

Great, I'm very glad that it work for you my friend! =)
Its so strange because I use exactly the same platform as you do VISTA Ultimate x64 SP2 but Kontakt 3.5 x64bit instead.. It happens in Kontakt 4.02 Player too....

Imagine that your Kontakt instrument never load anything correctly after you open a project...
What a time vampire that is!
I have no clue why more then it must be something with oversampling? It work perfect in Cubase but not in SONAR on same computer? Work in 44.1 kHz, doesn't work in sampling frequencys above that in SONAR only?

Freddie

32bit! It really matters!

44.1KHz! It really matters!

LOL! Sometimes the simplest things can be the funniest. I hadn't caught that before I read Freddie's comment. That's just plain funny. Good to see humour is alive and well, and living in the cakewalk forums.

Absolutely!
What would the life be without humor!

Before KONTAKT 4 was released I was running 3.5 x64 and it worked well in this regard too. Never forgot the loaded instruments on reloading a project.

I bet if I install the whole OS and all from scratch again it will work fine?

I'm desperate.
Anyone know were the information SONAR-settings and Kontakt-Settings are stored when they are used together?

I have installed Kontakt 3 from scatch but perhaps If I can total clean everything in my computer of Kontakt, license keys --->all settings and then install it again then it might work? Even settings regarding SONAR and VST Kontakt...

Please Cakewalk or anyone from Native Instruments! Please, can somehelp help me?
Sir Noel, Tech guru Cakewalk, this problem should been like walk in park for you....

Please Help!

I'd assume that was a bit of humor, but it must have been a hurtful blow.

bitflipper is a great forum member.

He is right to imply you made a mistake, Freddie, in shouting your problem is a SONAR bug, so it would be decent of you to clarify the problem is with Kontakt, and an opoligy to Cakewalk is just the decent thing to do, man.

I think bringing this mistake to your attention with a bit of humor was a gentle way to get your attention that you wrongly accused Cakewalk to be responsible for a bug that points to NI as the responsible party.

We know you're a SONAR fan, too, Freddie, but Cakewalk doesn't need to be pointed out for blame that is not theirs. I mean, there are enough users crying about discontent with SONAR, even though Cakewalk is working hard to please customers. It's not nice to see users wrongfully blaming Cakewalk, so since you're an appreciative SONAR user, correct any mistakes you made, so Cakewalk isn't wrongfully blamed, if you can help it.

I just ordered Komplete 6 and hope I don't run into this bug. Sounds like it can be a showstopper if it happens to reproduce on your system.

I guess I'll stick to 44.1 kHz initially.

And whle its a bug confirmed by NAtive Instruments its clear that not all users are effected the same way.  As is often the case.

Come on freddie change the title of your thread to reflect the facts that you now have.

Going to UK on Sunday for a couple of days ... see what I can buy
Well, the utilities infrastructure has already been bought by the French and the Germans, but there's one or two car production plants left (but hurry, 'cos they're not making them any more and they may not be around for long), and there's a chain of book stores that needs a generous new owner.  If you want something more scenic, you can get the entire Lake District at a knock down price (although allow in your budget for eradicating some serious damp problems and general freshening up before you can move in).  If you like unusual pets, buy a few MPs - they'll perform all kinds of tricks with their expenses for you.  Don't buy the currency, however, as it tends not to hold its resale value terribly well at present.  Are your air tickets flexible? If so, I'd recommend diverting instead to Dubai, where you can snap up the entire country for a few billion or so.

ChrisM ... I LOVE your sense of humour.  You could be English ... oh, you ARE English.  Good for you, me too
I settled on not buying anything, as basically "it ain't over till the big fat lady sings".  Pound could go lower.
