I finnally tested the AT2020, the first studio mic i have ever tested.. verses el-cheapo mics.. and a Shure PE54 series 2 (one of my friend's old mic from the 70s) and when I tested the AT2020 on a A / B switch between mics.. I said WOW.. Major difference verses the El-Cheapos.. but even though the Shure sounded tons better than those El-cheapos.. the AT2020 beat them all hands down! My friend took a accoustic gutiar and sang with it.. I am impressed :)

I bought the Audio Technica AT2020 for $100, a Peavey PV8 8 channel mixer w/ phantom power $140, a pop filter $20, a 20ft cable $20, .. a total of $300 (with tax). Im sure I probally could have gotten it cheaper thru ordering online.. but I wanted it now. :)

Overall.. after hearing the major difference.. I couldnt stop saying WOW!! It will probally be alittle while.. but I am uncertain if anything really can sound any better for more money? I'm sure it can be done.. but at this time.. I cant stop saying wow!... I'm certain this new sensation will wear off in a few weeks.
