Or download through Cakewalk Command Center and grab the installers from here: C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads

When I downloaded the Help and tutorials large GB file and installed I was sure I seem something about reference pdf file??
Re-installed but sadly not included.
I found it in the program files->cakewalk->sonar platinum folder

The C3 requires multiple installers to perform the update. I expect the manual process would too.

Updated everything fine. I had to do a reset rescan to fix the Pro Channel, but that's a minor thing. One thing in Command center that is a bit annoying is...Under the Sonar heading, everything button is red except for four things, which are the things I just updated. It would be nice if C3 could detect the things that are already installed and turn them green. I also wish the huge AD2 thing would go away. I already have it installed...go away.

Guys, Sorry to trouble the group, but I don't see anything that says "update". I paid for a yearly membership. How do I install this update? Thanks! EDIT Got it...just a lack of AM caffeine. Double EDIT I don't have my work computer normally hooked up to the internet. At first I was using Internet Explorer to navigate to the Cakewalk site, THEN logging in to my account and doing Command Center from there. The right way to do it is to download Command Center (I put it on my desktop), THEN clicking on the icon. I hope this helps someone.

I did not bother installing Melodyne, DimPro or Rapture but did install all the other Cakewalk packages just to get all green lights. Melodyne should be skipped because it is the same as X3 and managed by Celemony (just like XLN manages AD2). I don't believe the DimPro and Rapture package plug-ins or content will be updated. The installer was recently updated but I am not concerned about that. Have plenty of installers for those synths. The recent Rapture content was added to the Anderton Collection.

How do I install this update?
If you used the Cakewalk Command Center to install SONAR, run the Command Center again. There should be yellow indicator lights for packages which are updated.

Are you using the Command Center? If so you should see items with a Yellow icon to the left of anything that has an update. Click on that item and in the middle of the screen you should see a "update" icon. Click that.

yes click on the SONAR Platinum green light.... and the above number is the version I am showing. On the individual items (Classic Creative FX Suite, etc)... I get 1.0.0.7 for MOST of them. A couple are 1.0.0.8 or a slight variation, but most are the 1.0.0.7.

No, that's the Acoustic Piezo amp. The ProChannel presets should be visible when you go to load a ProChannel preset...I'll verify when I'm at my music computer.

I assume a list of bug fixes with CWBRN numbers will be made available later?
In future though it would be cool if the bug fixes get listed in full at the same time as the release, and the problem reports forums gets updated accordingly (it would be nice if all posts with CWBRN numbers get marked as fixed, or at least acknowledged as well). This will probably mean QA will need the final build for testing a week earlier than what is probably happening right now.
Anyway it's amazing you released the patch on time considering the amount of snow (although VPN's I'm sure helped) and the fact that this is a new process, which I'm sure will improve as time goes on. For the first normal update this is indeed impressive and really does add value to the product.

I noticed that Braintree updated Boost 11 and installed it to program files->cakewalk->vstplugins. I have multiple VST scan paths defined (including the above mentioned path) to cover the various bases (multi vendor) but I try my best to keep all my VSTs in a central location (program files->vstplugins).
Since I had an older version of Boost 11 in this central location, the scan wasn't picking up the updated one until I moved the older one and put it in my "VST No Scan" folder which is not a scan path.
I hope that wasn't too confusing and is useful to someone.

Thanks Steve. FYI although they were designed around specific Gibson guitars (I have access to the world's coolest lending library for guitar players), they work with other acoustic guitars as well. Call up the preset for the type of guitar that's most like yours, or just call them up and see what works.

I experienced this... Thanks for the tip. Moving the VST files to my preferred folder, resetting and rescanning my VST's, and seeing if I can change any registry file paths to help for next time.

Actually (see post above) this is a bit of a major PITA.
What is urgently needed in the next update IMHO is at least a report afterwards which displays where stuff has got installed to after each installation (also save it to a log file), then we are in with at least a fighting chance of moving the files to where we want them. Otherwise we are just guessing.
Of course we do need more user definable custom file paths for all the components but a report would be a good start.
