I'll see your 33 and raise you a decade. (Although my brain froze around the time of the first gig I attended - Buzzcocks at the Glasgow Apollo, 1978).

However, I recall from similar threads in the past that I'm not the oldest P5er you'll find around here.

This Saturday, 23 July, I shall be 40 years of age. Which has me thinking about when *I* was 15 ... how's the song go?

For the life of me I cannot remember

Same age then different genre ! First band I saw I think was called "Lone Star", and no it's not the same one as are around nowdays. This bunch did an album called "firing on all six" and had a anthem track called "Bells of Berlin". Can't find much about them now though....

didn't this happen just a little bit ago?

i respond only because i can happily report that my band is exactly 100 years old as of july 12 when our second youngest member had his 5th birthday. on average, that makes us 20 years old, but as you can tell, we have a couple of real young outliers (ooh, cool, i got to use a statistics term without even trying).

First concert Ozzy/Metallica 1986 before Cliff Burton died. I went to see Ozzy, and walked out a die hard Metallica fan.

I know a room full of musical tunes.
Some rhyme, some ching, most of them are clockwork.
Let's go into the other room and make them work.

    52. First show I ever saw was either the James Gang or some outdoor thing that featured among others Bo Diddley and the headliner was Ravi Shankar, musta been 1968 or 69, I know that I drove to it.
And I thought I was the oldest one here, oh well..........

I just had to check my profile to verify that the release of Version 2 marked my centennial birthday. So I guess that makes me 100 years, 3 months tomorrow. Hey, it's not how old you are; it's how you feel [let's face it: and how you look.]. I don't feel a day over 92.

What's my secret? All natural organic lifestyle and holistic cures, pack-and-a-half of Marlboro with my morning cafe cubano, and lots of young chicks. I can't keep those groupies off of me at gigs, and most of them are barely in their 80's.

34 here, wonderin if I'm too old to make anything of this music thing, good thing is I dj'ed since I was 15-28. Dumped the music cause I thought I was too old and then found Kinetic and the idea of making my own music has taken me over!
