chuckebaby how can you be giving advise to anyone when you cant even do something as simple as posting on this forum ? surely you didn't grow up before they created the "post button" ???
In all fairness to jb101, there have been quite a few incidents of multiple posting since we got the new forum software. It even happened to a real super-hero posting expert just HERE - and if you'll notice lower down in that thread, Ryan knows about it too.

I find it funny that the new TOS makes a specific point of outlawing repetitive posts but the forum software is doing that all by itself. Ban the CakeBot? As to the rest of this thread... Can't we all just get along? :-/

Right Beep. I am wondering why this thread has taken such a bad turn. JB and Charlie are two people I like very much. I read their posts whenever I come across them. I find it sad that they are finding fault with one another. I'm hoping this is nothing but an aberration that will soon go away.

Funny one Beepster. About getting along, no we can't and never have. But if we didn't have disagreements we would never learn of our differences. In hindsight X1 probably should have had midi out with the Matrix but doesn't. Fortunately for those that use it that way X2 does. It all gets good in the end and Sonar keeps getting better.

@chuckebaby - I don't mind if you quote me, Roy, but please don't misquote me. I said nothing of the sort, nor would I. I know that you do know what you are talking about. I said - "yet again you storm into a thread, misunderstand the OP, and feel the need to "jump on the guy" - that is entirely different to "I just came storming in here knowing nothing as usual", as you mis-quoted me. Surely you can see that. I think the jb101 you have inside your head is a lot nastier than me. And, to be fair, I only "insulted you" in response to you gibe about posting, which was a forum issue, not mine. I also don't feel that Steve's post reads like he was trashing yours, does it? Really?

Hopefully, John... Both seem like fairly positive members aound here, so I find it odd to watch them arguing in a thread like this.

Charles, what the hell are you on about? Seriously, are you paranoid? Or are you just incapable of discerning between a cordial observation when it's proffered, and a chastisement? Where do I intimate that you write "trash"? And how could you possible be cognisant with which posts I've read and which posts I haven't? All I was trying to explain was that accidental, and completely non-anticipatable multiple postings have been occurring quite frequently since the new forum software was implemented. To be honest, I would have though that by utilising a little jocular self-deprecation, it would be apparent that I was not endeavouring in the slightest to be contumelious, and indubitably not discourteous. I hope that sets the record straight. As far as one's grammar is concerned, I was always educated that it was simply good manners to write correctly. My personal and abiding maxim has always been that if one expects others to read what one has penned, it is the least one can do to make it legible, coherent, correctly spelt and punctuated, and accommodating as few grammatical infractions as possible. As Edgar Allan Poe once opined: “ A man's grammar, like Caesar's wife, should not only be pure, but above susp-icion of impurity.”

I apologise to the OP for taking this thread down a bad turn. And I also apologise to other forum members (especially John, whom I respect a lot), if I have not posted at my best. I have some sympathy with the OP, even though I do not use the matrix. If I had been led to believe that the matrix worked with MIDI, I would have foolishly assumed that it would work with hardware synths. I have not read the literature for X1 in this respect, so cannot comment if that was the impression given. I can see that it was not a bug, just not intended behaviour. Whether I agree with the OP's manner of posting is irrelevant, I can see how he would be frustrated. I'm glad it now works in X2, but that does not help him. I just felt it a little unfair to berate him - he doesn't seem to be another godparticle. I even tried to give gp the benefit of the doubt.. for a while.

Yes, you would be correct. At least temporarily... s/he/they were apparently "removed" from that forum as well after some overtly trollish posts. Go figure. As far as changing Death's horse's color, sure, if you're the Reaper...

But according to some (no names) this feature was available in 8.5 Classic (Legacy) Edition, but was broken in all further updates, and always will remain broken regardless of any facts to the contrary. Methinks this thread may be heading south soon, IMHO.
