ProChannel Module Updates and Free ProChannel Presets
Just a brief update that we just released ProChannel Concrete Limiter version 1.0.1. More information available at http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/reader.aspx/2007013275 UPDATE 2/1/2012: More good news! We just released some updates for the PC4K S-Type Expander/Gate and PC4K S-Type Channel Compressor modules as well. Find out more at http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/reader.aspx/2007013276 Enjoy! Also, We have created over 50 new presets for ProChannel, which you can download today. They are divided in two categories: - Presets for ProChannel (in SONAR X1 Producer)
- Presets that include all modules released for SONAR X1 Producer Expanded
We hope this will turn into a community where users can share their own presets. Cakewalk's Jimmy Landry hasn't slept for nights in order to create some really amazing presets (just to get the ball rolling). Visit the ProChannel Preset Zone In addition, we have updated the ProChannel section with new videos, screenshots, and product information. This should give everyone an even better understanding of ProChannel, regardless of if you use it now or not. New ProChannel page

Could you make it so we could download them all at once. You think I have time to download and install 50 of them one at a time? Jeez... Edit: OK, well it didn't take that long although you'd think a software company could come up with an automated solution to download all of them at once.... I'm jus' sayin'.

Jeez... ++ I just didn't download any right now because I have to do it one at a time. Also, where do these things go? "C:\Cakewalk Content\SONAR X1 Producer\ProChannel Presets" seems a likely candidate...

There are plenty of free add-ons for browsers and download managers (like DownThemAll) that will download all links on a page in one fell swoop. The problem with bundling them is that the page allows user submissions and the pack would have to be updated constantly and would require re-downloading the same content over and over again.

It would be really great if the ProChannel itself could access the site and download the presets on its own. They're small, so it wouldn't even be too much of a hit to have PC audition the presets directly from the site.

Where to download and how to run? I tried downloading one to a folder I created where I DL most things that are X1 related. It downloaded ok but when I try to open it I get the Windows file assistant window and it does not know how to open the file. Should I be downloading these presets somewhere in particular? What am I doing wrong? BTW, the file downloaded in mere seconds, less than 5 sec. Thanks. J

Hi jbow, These would go in your Cakewalk Content folder (I believe there's subfolder "Prochannel Presets"). Hi Mesh, Thanks I will take a look and if there isn't a presets folder I will make one. Will I need to run or open them or just download them there? I'm not going to have time until Monday to try anything with it... it is going to be a LONG weekend. Julien edit> nevermind, that was easy. Thanks again! I downloaded the 1st Exp preset to the PC presets folder and added EXP_Bass_ to the front of the file name so it will be easy to tell which presets are Expanded. I may change it to Bass_EXP_ so that all the types will be together... I'll do the rest on Monday. Thanks again!

When I open the preset folder on the ProChannel it takes me to C:\Users\Tom Deering\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\Sonar X1 Producer then I have to open the folder I created called "ProChannel Presets" When I open "Preferences">"Folder Locations" I can't find a way to specify a path for ProChannel. Since I DO NOT want a bunch of random pcp files in "Sonar X1 Producer" and I prefer to keep all saved data off the "C" drive, how do I change the path for ProChannel presets? Think about it, if you've saved any presets to the "C" drive since your last Image and you have to roll back, you're screwed. If you want to backup your presets and they are in the "X1 Producer" folder, along with everything else that resides there, you have to select each one individually... Andrew? Brandon? Thanks
