chrisharbin "the serial number you have entered has already been registered" What up with that? Ugh, I'm truly sorry to hear that. Please send our Customer Service department an email about this and they should get back to you tomorrow. Unfortunately, being 4am in Boston, our East Coast team has signed off for the night, and us on the West Coast don't have the tools to help with problems like these. Please be patient, we'll get you taken care of.

Yes that's right Seth. Thanks for clarifying the situation, however. X1 does not appear in "My Orders" area in my account, i do have the serials for 8.5 but nothing so far for X1? Bob

Bob, That's normal. All the dot connecting and logistics for getting free upgrades to those who qualify takes a bit, so that should all show up later in the day.

djjhart@aol.com Guess I'm the first person to have an Installation Error... I am really sorry to hear that. If you have downloaded all the files and followup the setup instructions then I would suggest contacting support. It is possible that the download got corrupt and needs to be pulled down again. I downloaded it 4 Xs Has to be a corrupt download, I am using Internet explorer 6.0 I never go online with my daw only to do updates, Has to be Internet explorer 6 Downloading to my Mac now. The .Exe file on the pc is only 18 megs which cant be , Dling to the mac says 2.93 gigs.. Seems like 2.93 is the correct file.. Guess you need to have your browser updated , Explorer 6 just wont do.. I'ed suggest if anyone is having an installation error , check to see the file size to make sure its the correct size.. Before cursing to high hell like me.. I'm sure I'll get it installed .. Thank You Seth For your response, Made me think corrupt file, so thats when I thought to look at the file size.

I'm confussed: I can't even tell the time. now I'm in Australia which at the moment is 16 hours ahead of Boston time. It's only just 1:15 am here on Thursday the 9th which makes it 9AM on the 8th in BOSTON. I thought SONAR X1 was going to be available at Midnight on the 8th december 2010. Do you guys have a time machine over there or something? I've got the Wolrd time open in front of me so I know I'm not mistaken. Waas the release really available at Midnight on the 7th which is followed by 1:00 am on the 8th? Sorry: signed - confused foreigner.

You sure is strange folks over there by the way you tell time. Guess it comes from being so far behind. Now if Cake had said the release was to be Dec 8th 0500 UTC (Universal Time Code) or GMT (Greenwich Mean Time as it used to be called) or Zulu then I clearly would have understood that to be 00:00 hours on December 8th not midnight on the 7th. I was so far ahead I never stood a chance of winning the mug and pen. D**n and blast. What will I not drink out of and chew on now? I wont even get my email for the download till later. Doubke d**n.

I made the suggestion as it had been an issue for me in the past on ADSL. Before then I had ISDN for many years before I could get Brooadband and there were always ISDN specific download problems of one sort or another at that time as well. Now I have ADSL2+ and I get drop outs galore in clusters then everything riuns smooth for a while. 2.9 GIG downloads promise to be interesting but I may well wait for the discs anyway and not install X1 till the first update.
