I want X3 to be flooded with terabytes of analysis algorithms, capable of determining whether the key, timing, overall sound etc. will be a hit song or not. And I want all of this displayed as a giant "turd" icon in the top right hand corner of the screen. The icon will start out as an actual turd with flies buzzing around it and as you edit and mix, whilst utilizing countless tips and automatic fix ups from X3. The flies will disappear, as the turd slowly becomes more and more metallic looking. Until eventually the turd is displayed as a golden, polished, gleaming, glorious nugget! For that will be when every user will know that they have created manufactured pop magnificence!!! Leaving only one question. Where are they going to hold the Grammys? Because they're going to need space to fit every CW user on the planet!!! This is a real problem...

Since a list is brewing here, one thing I'd like to see is a way to save and/ or copy ProChannel Quad EQ settings just for the EQ.
So I know we can already save ProChannel presets and those can be brought in as needed to a different track or bus. But that brings in all the ProChannel stuff, which can be great, or it can be too much brought in when less is needed.
I have tracks where the rest of the ProChannel is different, but I'd just like to bring in the Quad EQ settings I had on a different track. That would save me a lot of time and hassle to be able to just transfer the EQ settings only.
So that's a wish.

I would like a a feature similar to Pluraleeyes that will automatically synch tracks of like material. That would make composites derived from multiple takes easier for things like voiceovers and ADR work

No kidding, it is a carry over from older SONAR versions that had the same feature with the built-in Sonitus EQ.

A) Maybe an easier way to convert your midi into audio from a vst by right clicking the track or bus. Also when bouncing to midi clips, have a dialog for preferences to be set and the clip gets added to your clip library? Sort of like preview does but maybe populate? Populate audio rather than having to export and import audio? B) One thing really gets me, the copyright info "ID3". I'd like to have a place to set the default information and a setting to auto fill data when applicable. This way I may only have to change track info rather than the whole array. C)Another thing is simple track lane quick sort. have a button that lists some sorting options and on go could remove empty lanes or and compress to minimum lanes. I don't care that it is smart rather than it is clean and controllable. However the smart could be an option on the list; sort by record #(which may build more track lanes but whatever)removes empty lanes if selected and arranges by # on go.

Wishlist wish: A way to anonymously vote on what new features will go into the next major release. Doesn't have to be on every new feature, especially something major that must be kept secret, but for features that are being considered which could otherwise be left out, like Layers. Example: We now have Take Lanes, which replaced Layers, but would we like to see the Layers feature come back alongside?
Brian Sonar Platinum, Steinberg Wavelab Pro 9, MOTU 24CoreIO w/ low-slew OP-AMP mods and BLA external clock, True P8, Audient ASP008, API 512c, Chandler Germ500, Summit 2ba-221, GAP Pre-73, Peluso 22251, Peluso 2247LE, Mackie HR824, Polk Audio SRS-SDA 2.3tl w/upgraded Soniccraft crossovers and Goertz cables, powered by Pass-X350. All wiring Star-Quad XLR or Monster Cable. Power by Monster Power Signature AVS2000 voltage stabilizer and Signature Pro Power 5100 PowerCenter on a 20A isolation shielded circuit.

I don't get it man ? 1st- you don't need to use the smart tool. you can use the one tool of your choice. 2cnd-you don't need to use screen sets. everything is docked except the track view. just grab a dock and drag it to another monitor (Example: Console view) I am sorry though, if I misunderstood your post :)

I've said this before, but I want - better audio analysis tools for clips (e.g., just two mouse clicks to give me the max and average values (peak and RMS) of the audio in the clip),
- a choice of getting the waveform in peak or RMS format and
- a choice of normalizing audio at an (max or average) RMS value.
In all cases I want the length of the RMS window to be user-configurable.

I'm with you there, Charlie. Unless I misunderstood, you don't need to use the smart tool if you don't want. I, personally like the smart tool, it saves time. I also find screen sets useful. Over multiple monitors.

Ditto, I don't like the few cases where I can't use the Smart Tool! Otherwise, I think you can still re-bind the individual tools so they're not using the default Function keys. If the individual tools were my preference instead of the Smart Tool, I'd probably do that because the Function keys aren't the most accessible...
