Some other yellow exclamations for internet explorer, and some security issues, as I have turned off those apps, and some services....and internet, while windows Live wants to do something but can't....without the connection to the internet.

If I use the internet, the nic card causes issues with the Allen and Heath driver..(A & L suggest highly to turn off any Nic cards )...and issues arise when I do use it...

I see a problem with bitbridge,,,rewire and other yellow markings of warnings in the event view....mostly because I have turned off a lot of win apps and third party ones that auto update....I believe.

Thanks for the help... X2a was working ok...not perfectly...but I was able to open all projects with it, that were made with it....after installing x3c this is no longer the case with some....I have not checked all...and I only checked a few of the old, with the new..none of them opened , and crashed the software...and those are suspect now as not being able to open in any.....

CPU Spikes...tweaking of os done to stop it or reduce it.
Clicks Pops and drop outs...Played with buffers and a crash occurred while trying to change that in Sonar...through the preferences ... I had to reboot change the buffer in the mixer applet, and then start Sonar X3c and to make sure the changes were made in Preferences...can't remember what I did back then completely, But it worked in some form, to get one session recorded....and...maxed out buffer ...9600khz/4096 to stop the noise issue.......yAH THINK?....Any hoot..moving backwards , I have read here on these forums, when rendering, to reduce hangs of the software, (which I have experienced also...Turn down the buffers...Does this reintroduce noise to the file being rendered?

And if there is a tweak or a device someone sees out of whack, that  is causing my wows...Please advise, and thanks.
Again no 32 bit plugins are used at this point in time...I have used a 64 bit sasquatch Plug on one track..in the last x2a project...all other projects that do not open only use sonar plugins that are on the pro channel strip or added Bverb.

Well, error Exception code: 0xc0000005 is due to an Access Violation - looks like a problem with privileges/permissions.  My guess is you are not launching the application with the 'Run As Administrator' option, and quite possibly did not explicitly launch the Sonar installation process with that option explicitly specified either.

Your Acid is also failing with the same error message - this looks like a 32-bit Acid install?

Please detail exactly how you installed Sonar, Acid, and FL Studio, with regard to Run As Administrator.

    Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\BitBridge.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 11\FLEngine.dll

How do you have Sonar's BitBridge and FL Studio connected?  (see the above).  And again, BitBridge exists for 32-bit applications to run in a 64-bit host.

I believe that your system is likely a jumbled mess at this point - and I do not mean that in a bust your chops kind of way - I just think it may be in shamble.

I look forward to getting more information from you, so we can get you back up and running normally.

Well let see, it all started back when I was...installing the os...as I am the admin of that process, and have not made any other user to the system...I am the admin...and so I have all the rights I would imagine...a admin gets, as being the only one who uses this system.

My admin rights should default to the only user being Sir Les....no login, no networks..etc.

I may have turned this feature off?....I'll go check after a few words with you.

Acid Pro 7 is a 32 bit software...it runs, but has always had a issue on this system.
And others...So I never really expect much more from it...and is why I am seeking a 64bit app to do with the OS...I also Have Propeller head stuff installed and I may move to that soon.

Also have Protools 11 being tested on another system...So that one will take tips and tricks from this if need be.

So if it is admin related...I may just have to turn on a service?...or.... do I have to right click the Icon and set to run as admin?....or both?...and in the right order might be rewarding....

I do not like to log in to my machines....and so I have been very careful not to activate that process....way to many passwords to recount...wait, I have another bottle left....

Ok...Lead me to bliss oh Great one.

Admin rights....check...what do I do for that?...I believe I right clicked the Icon and set it up on installation...but I may be wrong....As it was a rush to see what was new and improved suggestion to fix my other issues..

    So is that right?

Oh thanks for helping out....As it is some things were installed, but never tried out...and some things were installed but were too buggy to use...and removed

Bitbridge?....I think that got installed with FL Studio 11, which I do not use at the moment but is installed, and I should get to that after spring break.  I tried it out, and it seemed to work with the demo song...and my mixer...So it stayed.
I have Propellerhead Reason which I believe installed rewire....haven't bent my head on that either...but it works with my mixer with their demos.

ACID Pro 7 and SONY SOUND FORGE 10 , Vagas 9.0 Which I love to use...will always be on my drive.

    Eastwest Play and three libraries
    Engine 2 and one library

All Libraries are on a external USB drive.
     Sibelius 6
    Autoscore Photo score Lite.

and some other nero 12 and 10 apps for burning media

    and a blueray player.
    Quick time
    firefox
adobe reader 11 which wants to update only after I turn off the internet...for some strange reason.
ccleaner and SSOFTSANDRA and something else some one told me to install to post up info...

things work well as basic functioning of the system...it is only when I try to use Audio midi software...It just seems pops clicks and anomalies rule the day...ever since ever was for me...and my choices.

..I removed Protools 9.3, and the focusrite Pro 40 months ago...And in that light of hope to gain 8 more inputs, I bought the Allen and Heath mixer, and  ...put in SSD Drive for C: Drive and tried to move a ISO over to the ssd which failed sevral times...So I just reinstalled win 7 64bit and what was working semi well, with some other apps...with out all the admin stuff setup....Is this wrong?.,,Been so busy building my studio, and troubleshooting and tweaking and asking questions, with mead and berries....I did not suspect this at this point in time...I did not setup Bitbridge, I know nothing about it yet...Still working on Sonar...

I think I SHOULD WIPE IT ALL OUT....

I tried the delete Aud.ini...no luck there.

    found this tidbit

What Causes Errors? There's actually a number of reasons why these annoying errors happen, but the most common are caused by new programs getting installed on top of older programs before the older versions are completely removed.  So x1 and some updates, then x2 and a update, then x3c all installed over eachother....means CRASH? I got a program that claims to fix these errors...not sure about it, and because I am now using my music system for internet...I will hold off, and I need to scan it...so I have to turn on some security virus thingy.... Any words of instruction?

If we can fix Acid Pro 7 also..and the sony line...I would be over joyed....Cause that stuff rocks my boat....LOL

Hmm it appears you are or were running a web server (IIS) ? A bit odd. Regardless enable it again in add/remove windows components, follow the instructions in error message above, then remove it. Also looks like you need to remove or patch (check site for patches) acidpro.

Same again with Sony Vegas Pro. If it was me I would remove all these apps. Once sonar is stable I would attempt reinstall one by one with patches.

The other (cleaner) alternative is to do a wipe of windows partition and do a complete reinstall without those apps that are crashing. Then do a full backup. Then one by one try and get those apps working by patching or updating them. If they still crash sadly you will just need to remove them and find an alternative solution. Wipe it, strip it down, build it back up. Try to avoid 'performance' tweaking until your are fully stable for a few months at least, and if it aint broke don't fix it IMHO.

And when was the last time you did a full virus scan and chkdsk?

FYI deleting AUD.INI isn't going to do much here the issues are pretty clear (possible I may have missed something as I scanned this with my cellphone, second pair of eyes required).

Re: Sonar x3c Crashing with x2a Projects and odd behavior. 2013/11/28 22:00:20 (permalink)
I have no Idea what IIS is..nor have I done any server indulgence on this system...I tried to turn off a lot of Networing and internet services, and some may call for a service that is not enabled, to cause other warnings. ... and it seemed like things started crashing as I went forward with updates more so x2 to x3c...So I went in and turned some things back on...(as assistance was not forthcoming) but slowly I got some tips....and am still updating win 7 as of today a net frame work 4.5 I think...but it is getting long in the tooth now, over writing code and such...and old drivers riped out, and new things put in...makes a mess of the os & reg....

But I hear yah AlexS...a total wipe out may be the best bet, as I have run cc cleaner scan, and found so much reg corruption and lost links,... and data dumps that have happened, trying to get things working, it may be too deep to undo the poo poo.

So more hair loss has been averted by using the blow torch before hand ...and mead.

I tried to run Vegas, it should have been made Admin ready when installed...But it won't even load up now today, ...so something went haywire with something linking them software apps perhaps..like rewire, or bitbridge, which may be corrupted, as I have seen messages about it with a data dump. or two.
No partitions on my ssd c: Drive...and it is only half full....

So I will wait for Robert to chime in...and then I am off to format C...and start by updating windows to the hilt first...Then drivers to the most updated= already downloaded...and we will see what installing one by one does...Cause this is too much to bare anymore, I have given it my best shot....on this system....Now I need help, cause what I thought was helping stop cpu spikes, clicks and pops, and dropouts , and crashes....is partly OS corruption.

As this was only a test run and build...I have no worries of formating c, and have everything safe and sound on cd or dvd/or downloadable only when made available ....makes it safer.

    Thanks Again!

Re: Sonar x3c Crashing with x2a Projects and odd behavior. 2013/11/28 22:28:59 (permalink)
    Sir Les

Lots of folks get confused about Admin accounts versus running as administrator.  These are 2 different things.

It is recommended that you EXPLICITLY launch the Sonar installer to Run As Administrator, which can be done by either right-clicking on the installer and clicking on Run As Administrator, or you can right-click on the installer, then click on Properties, then Advanced, then check the box to permanently have the installer set to Run As Administrator (don't forget to apply and OK your way back out of that once you set it).

Either method works, but just BEING an administrative user does NOT get the job done for adequate elevation of privileges/permissions.

I also choose to always have Sonar itself Run As Administrator every time it runs, and I never have any access violations such as the ones you have been having.

I DO believe at this point that a complete wiping out of Windows and installing it again would be the way to go.  This would give you a clean slate, rather than trying to muddle through undoing whatever damage has been caused to currently installed programs and settings.

For whatever the worth, I also at this point avoid making any of the system 'tweaks', such as the ones listed at the Black Viper site.  I think those were NEEDED for OS levels prior to Windows 7, but I just don't have any issues these days where I would think to go through any of that tweaking.

I instead started with a clean OS install, then got all maintenance applied, then took a full backup and image backup, then began installing applications, etc...

I run Windows 8 now, but even when I ran Win 7, I kept maintenance up to date, AND kept UAC on, AND run installs of anything with Run As Administrator, AND have programs such as Sonar also set to Run As Administrator.  With this setup, and very limited use of 32-bit plugins in x64 Sonar, I just never have crashes or failures or even corruption.

I hope that helps guide you, please post as you decide how you choose to proceed, I will be available most of the day Friday, and again over the weekend, to help as needed - and possible.

Re: Sonar x3c Crashing with x2a Projects and odd behavior. 2013/11/29 02:05:45 (permalink)
Well here I am all brand new win 7 64bit installed, and from what I Believe is upto date completely...nothing other than codemeter, and Ilok latest installed...and of course some drivers for the asus usb and usb 3 was all I had to do....I think windows 7 put the driver for ATI aswell, ...should I install the full package from ATI?

And as all is well in device manager with windows putting in all the rest...should I be concerned?

Now I did not just decide to use Black vipers tips and tricks...this came about with the use of Protools 9.3 and the focusrite Pro 40 audio device...and sony software crashing all the time.....Avid ask alot of their users to tweak the os....I went a bit to extremes to find the culprit....
And after a reinstall of win 7 on the ssd, I started having the same things happen...So I bought Sonar x1, and I had issues with that....and all the other ones you saw in my above errors.

Not that many if you see what has been going on since win 95 till now...but enough dumps to say hay that's enough.

Now with this system as it is...and no win 7 update failures at all...I would say it is a clean install of win 7 64 bit.
     I will make some tweaks...wink...

Cause I hate screen savers, sleep mode, monitor sleep, and I must set usb to be always on, not sure about idol mode...any idea on that for usb Power management?
Also to never turn off usb in the control panel.

And the one AlexS doesn't want me to write....lol.

then there will be...testing again....and In this state...it will not work very well....cause I been here before....
So thanks for chimming in....a bit late, But now I have a lot to do...and I want to do it right....So I will be leaving the internet on...which will cause problems....but the link is important now to get this working, with help.

    Thanks and cheers...

Without gloating all this works for me, my saffire pro 40, my copy of IE11. If you never installed internet information web server in the past then this is very worrying indeed, its the sort of thing a 'malicious process' would do so people could use your PC as an upload/download centre  ;) I'm not saying anything other than a little three letter prompt may have helped you stop this  ;)
    http://msdn.microsoft.com...ms181052(v=vs.80).aspx

If its still running it will take as much resource as your DAW, I'd be surprised if you can record anything.
Wipe and start again methinks, too much weird **** going on, do a full virus scan whilst you are at it. Avoid utils that want to disable your security ;)
Readyboot not a real issue, your PC will just take a little longer starting. Fairly common error.

The thing is AlexS...That there should not be any errors yet....that worries me, no matter how common you say it is.
I may have turned on internet service  ISS...as I was looking to fix problems connecting to the net, once the tweaks and everything were done, as it would take forever to connect, and was very buggy due to services being disabled......the Black viper tweaks I use are not the ones You saw on the web site...
I have used his tweaks in XP mostly...but when things went haywire in win 7 I had the old list for audio setups...and went through that ...mostly....and a few others of my own...which seemed to work.

You think my system had a virus?...Not possible...I ran the essential security and updated it, did a scan before I decided to wipe out the OS....NO VIRUS FOUND>And did a cclean scan...I tried to run the registry fix but they want money...So I gave up...and wiped her out.

Also I found a windows Malware app running...that cannot be turned off in services on the old install.....So I have to recheck that one...on this new install...and make sure no virus or security apps or services are running once we see how things work with no tweaks to them Services...and my A&L interface....and then when she is ready to be disconnected from the net for x time...all that stuff  virus/malware gets turned off.

check.... just the drivers for ATI were installed by window's updater....thanks

Installed Adobe x1, quicktime....and I uninstalled internet 11...cause it spins in circles....and you know how I hate that....need more bottles to counter the spinning circle when it cannot find a url of known working & proper states of being....

Just sayin.... things with windows...have issues on their own...never mind the third party software end.

Not yet ready to take the install Audio software yet....cause once I put the A&L driver in...things go odd with the internet...

    Thanks AlexS..

If you have installed Windows 7 again, did you go through the download/install of all maintenance?

There are GIGANTIC bunches of maintenance patches released for Windows 7, since the install disc.

Re: Sonar x3c Crashing with x2a Projects and odd behavior. 2013/11/29 14:25:04 (permalink)
Ok...I'm back online at the moment on my internet PC....I will be online with the other system soon, now that I see the CW FORUM is looking more normal to my eyes....It seems when I installed the A & L Drivers, and Tried downloading ADDICTIVE DRUMMER from that site...half way through the download IE 10 decided to crash the party and stop the download half way through......It says the download from the site is once only..Had a hard time closing out of that hang up, and in the end win 7 hanged itself, and I had to reset the system with the magic button, which cause other issues with not closing things down properly.....although I do not know where that event will turn up...it has happened.

...Do you feel the Gremlin/Spirits are against me some how?....And then when I tried to come back to the forum to re read the how to install Sonar with admin rights By Bob...the Forum looked like no html was working..??? .and Just with this cakewalk forums...everything else was seemingly Ok...Well that was around 8am est...and I was pretty tired...So ...Let see what a shut down for a few hours has next in store for me...

Thanks all for the wonderful Help...I wish this was asked of me months ago...Sspecky was asked to post from back then, and it did not go to this extreme....
I also tried putting my problems on the CW computer hardware forum, a few months back, but that did not get much results either.

So Yes, seems we are making headway.?..But I fear I've seen this bush before...and from what I know of this system, it isn't starting out well

Oh after that odd crash...Can you blame me for wanting to turn things off for internet?....auto updates, and background services...etc

Yes I updated to the hilt windows 7.
Bbefore installing drivers for the motherboard that windows did not install.
CakeAlexS advised on the video driver being ok to use....but I had to install the ASUS USB Drivers, and a Marvel Sata controller driver, ILOK and CODEMETER.

All seemed fine, so I went into event viewer through computer right click /Manage...it seems this way of getting into event viewer is slightly different ...if I use the search bar in start menu and type in event viewer...it opens up with less stuff to play with....perhaps I'm seeing things?.

ANY way there is a lot of errors in one pane....Not sure if I remember it exactingly, but well over 30....SO stay tuned in....perhaps it was just errors while updating bugs already introduced with the original install of win 7 and conflicts turning things on or off by windows to install the updates and shutdown methods ....and from there after it will behave?....well sort of.?...but this has already got me worried....I thought my system infected the forum setting here at CW forums....spent a while trying to find out how to log in to the plain no html side of things...cause I forgot what Bob said about admin how to and sonar....and possibly all installations.

Well Sonar 3xc is installed Now...But the computer is getting buggy since uninstalling ie11 to 10.....So I will have to turn off the audio for the next bash at event viewer and posting up what is necessary for more Mead.

Again thanks everyone for your advise...be patient with me...

To be quite honest, I did not play around with any Windows services or any tweaks whatsoever, and my system works just fine.

I realize all are different, but I am not sure I understand why you are making all of these changes.

So, you had a clean install, and maintenance for Win 7.  Then what exactly did you install, and how?

Regards to ati driver you can download an individual driver update on ati's site, usually better but I would leave it for now, other pressing issues....

Again ISS is playing around in this too...AlexS pointed it out...but here it is doing the same old same old...domain joins?

Also when trying to download Addictive drums a second time round...(as I never completed the download)...one could say I never got the first one....wink...the downloader says there is no GUI thingy found and the oline downloader does not work...and so no download for that...seeing as everything crashed I could not read what happens if it does not complete..online..

so some fudge is being made on my hard drive C: with that fudge, and I have to root that out....any ideas.?...and I have no idea what win 7 64 bit professional or ultimate is suppose to look like , and run like in the real world, I just was installing stuff thinking it was all ok..just to turn off the virus stuff and install away.....coming from xp sp2....I did originally follow instructions...but I must have rushed because of the issues I am now making you aware of...with nothing much installed now...I did install Sonar x3c with the A & L drivers....As Bob said to do...and some of Sonar's add ons went in admin mode the same way...

That is what is....So should I start again?...at this point I have nothing to loose.

I am still looking for an exact list of what you installed after finishing the Windows 7 install and applying all outstanding Windows maintenance.

I cannot help you without knowing what you installed, and how you went about it.

In addition, is your computer overclocked?
