Sonar Platinum 2016 Early Access program 09

Just DLed the 09 version under early access and my CPU is so well balanced now. All 4 cores are equal to one another.
Well done CW.

Yeah I did and it is long. Which is a good thing.

While I'm here I just want to comment about the CPU performance meter in Sonar. I have always liked it as a means to know how far I'm pushing a project. Other DAWs don't give the same amount of data in a simple to understand meter. What this also means based on how it works that CW is aware of core balancing to a degree other DAW developer are not. This has been an ongoing improvement from CW because their meter tells more. At least that is my theory.

Hi, this is preemptive to an upcoming Melodyne update so you wont see any visible difference just yet. There are several bug fixes for our ARA support however.

Ignore above note.  The Command Centre update box was hidden behind another window.  Downloading now.

It takes a while and does not show percentages for the DL, but it worked fine (though it was kind of unnerving). Try it again, but just let it go. "A watched pot" and all that....

BTW, I DL'ed it from itself, if that's any help. I've no clue why it seemed to take longer (is it a bigger file?) and showed no percentages.

I updated the CCC, then updated to the early access program (22.9.0.30) After downloading and installing, the CCC now displays Sonar Platinum with the yellow icon, although the current version is now the early access version. Is this as it should be?

Hi Noel,

Is there going to be a way in Theme Editor to edit the color of the Robin's Egg Blue Plug-in screen at some point? That'd be very cool (though admittedly a very small request in terms of importance).

Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this.

I have to play around with this a bit, but so far for me the load balancing might be the greatest change in Sonar since Platinum came out. (Not counting Meleodyne or other plugins)

Here's a strange thing: with load balancing enabled, the first thread is getting very little of the load, but the seven remaining threads are looking pretty even in handling the remainder. Thoughts?

Originally, the first thread was running about 20% higher than the remaining seven threads. All told, I thought this was pretty even, but now, the load seems to be avoiding the first thread.

I think, but I am not certain, that Core 0 will always process interrupts. I don't think that can be changed.
So perhaps Sonar is avoiding Core 0?

It sure does look like it. No one has reported this, however (unless I'm misunderstanding something).
