2. Pro Channel reset switches

Hi Jeremy, if this is what you're after, there's a reset option among the list of presets - Misc - Full Reset.pcp

Nice. Thanks Steve. Good to know. Though it would be nice to have a way to do it outside of the preset menu and per PC module rather than the whole PC. That's still cool and I'm sure I will find it useful. :)

Track sorting by:
 order created
 output
 input
 name
 mute
 archive
 folder
 set default sort,.....

Color coding: example: output gadgets same color as synth track, bus, hardware outputs

Save/import Track Templates with Data, audio and midi
Would be best to be able to save portions of a project:
  select tracks, export project

1-click buttons with state displayed.
Example: the menu for selecting note values.
Big waste of time: extra click each change
Bad location: have to look away from work and read
should be in a row, directly above staff, with state displayed.

Are you aware that you can already sort by some of those except folder, input, & order created. But you do get Size, Selected & Channel instead.

I apologize for not being clearer.  "Set Current Sort as Default" should be the first choice. Currently, a sort is un-doable.  But this means each sort will have to un-done to preserve the starting sort.

Would be best to be able to set a default sort, so the sorting could continue ad infinitum and still be able to return to the beginning.

My wish is that X2 should be a X1 with no bugs

How sad it is that your enjoyment of probably everything requires damage/pain/saddness for others.

I want it to come with a free, downloadable 27" monitor with at least a 2560x1440 resolution so I can see ALL THE TRACKS.

I'd like the plugins menus (both the soft synth insert submenu and the audio FX insert submenu) to sort (or be automatically sortable) based on the some criteria, and have them be separate preferences.  For example in the Audio FX menu, all the compressors together on a sub-sub (?) menu, and then all the EQs on another sub-sub menu and so on, and then have the soft synths organized and grouped by manufacturer.

I know I can do that manually but that's a pain.  If the menu is so darn configurable give me a tool to configure it automaticagically. :D

Hmmm.. well I would like to see an improvement of the Matrix. It would be nice if the data (MIDI or audio) in the cells could be edited. In general a better integration (like the older Project5v2.5 has) would be welcome.

Feature requests submitted:

- easy Track color grouping in both console and track views (see protools)

- sends and buss viewing. Clicking a send in track view would show the corresponding buss in the track inspector. Clicking the track sends on the console would offer the option to open a pop-up window displaying all the sends for that track.

- Pop-up window for fx bins to edit or replace fx. Currently we have to expand the track in the track view or scroll in the console view  - Global view window for all of the project's fx and corresponding tracks (ability to edit and replace)

- ability to rename an instance of a fx per track

- Pop-up larger window option for the Eq plot on pro-channel

- drag and drop buss/sends routing, and routing view window

I wish X2 would improve on the dated clean audio files utility, same application that came with Sonar 2. It would be nice to clean peer project folders without scanning the entire hard drive. The utility use to work when all my audio files were stored in one folder

is this possible.. to provide each track separate tempo? this will be useful for composing with film. like track 1-4 tempo 120 for 30sec. next track 5-7 tempo 100 for next 60sec...

Not if he's after a different tempo per track.

Personally I can't see the need for it, and how you would go about lining notes up to what would be a non-existent grid leaves me scratching my head.

Polyrhythms I understand. Different Tempi per track I just can't get my head around.

Anyway, the bottom line is, it can't be done in Sonar, and I don't know of any other sequencer that offers this capability (not that I've tried all of them)
